This morning, the second stop was a small shopping center with only two or three shops open for business. The question on my mind was whether to stop or not to stop. I decided to stop anyway...

To my surprise, the girl was spontaneously drawn in, like iron to a magnet, and grabbed a book. The boy followed suit and grabbed the other book. I briefly explained who I was and what the books were all about. They both took a book, and she gave an exceptionally large donation. She eagerly asked, "You said 'Krishna Krishna!' right? I've been learning about Krishna in my 'Hindu Gods & Goddesses' class, and I LOVE Him! He's my favorite."

Mayapur temple was second in the whole world in terms of books distributed in year 2011-2012 and Delhi was in the first position. HH Gopal Krishna Maharaj glorified Mayapur Sankirtan devotees and marked them the real number one. Mayapur book distribution goes on throughout the year, some time door to door, where as Delhi devotees do it mostly in Book Marathon times

The Monthly Sankirtana Festival (MSF) of Abundant Bhajans, which was conducted over the last 2 weekends to honor Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, was concluded yesterday (March 7th) on Gaura Purnima, and the final MSF results were offered on this auspicious occasion to Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, Srila Prabhupada and their Lordships at the ISKCON of Silicon Valley (ISV) temple in San Jose

While there are many greats in this most pleasing service. Heroes such as Vaisesika, Vijaya, Brighupati, Navida Nirada, and Parameshvara Prabhus. There are others, great heroes, who dynamic feats go on unsung. One such fellow is His Grace Bhakta Carl Prabhu, the biological brother of His Holiness Tamal Krishna Goswami.

At the end of 2010, the Toronto Sankirtan Team set an ambitious goal to distribute a minimum of 35,000 books during 2011. This seemed like a tall task given that it was more than three times the number of books distributed in the whole of 2009! But as Srila Prabhupada emphatically said, “Impossible is a word in a fool’s dictionary.”

For around a Month, this 25 Brahmacharis of Iskcon Chowpatty went out in 3 sankirtan buses to distribute Srila Prabhupad books in december all around India. By the mercy of Srila Prabhupad they were able to distribute this december around 100 thousand (1 Lakh) literatures of which 28,800 are mahabig books

On 10th January at the conclusion of our 40-day marathon HH Indradyumna Swami and HH Veda Vyasa Priya Swami presented the devotees who were engaged in book distribution with gifts, garlands and mahaprasadam as a token of appreciation for their valuable service

ISV’s annual books marathon ‘The MSF of 32,000 Books, which began in the last week of September 2011 was concluded on January 4th and the Final Results were offered to Srila Prabhupada and the Deities at the Wednesday night Gita class at the ISV temple in San Jose

By all of your wonderful efforts I am happy to announce that the Prabhupada Marathon 2011 is the most successful since December 1998! I pray that we continue this sacred mission of distributing books to every corner of this country, and in this way increase our offering to Srila Prabhupada... an offering that will surely make him smile

The following is our Shastra Dana report for the month of September - October: I am humbly asking for your blessings so that we may develop this book distribution program more and more.

At our last Saturday evening, weekly Bhagavad Gita and Kirtan program for new people, which my wife, Subhangada dasi, and I organize and teach, I had an amazing experience that verified the truth of one of Srila Prabhupada's most essential instructions: "So Kindly help me. This is my request. Print as many books in as many languages and distribute throughout the whole world. Then Krsna consciousness movement will automatically increase."

Srila Prabhupada said spreading Krsna consciousness means we are declaring war on the illusory energy. Well, many of the warriors in our sankirtan bases around the world had good results in March. Mayapur Dham did 138,601 book points, over six times more than the number two temple in the world, Tirupati, which did 20,948 points

I thought the results in the USA were amazing but it wasn't just the US, the whole world was on transcendental fire during the Prabhupada Marathon. Of the 221 temples reporting only 25 did less than last years marathon, that's 196 temples increasing over last year! And some of them really increased. Last year was the most successful year since 1996, we distributed 6,518,034 books!!!

We were fortunate to be able to start 2011 off on the right foot by distributing Srila Prabhupada's books during the morning of January 1st

Our annual books marathon referred to as ‘The MSF of 25,000 Books, an Occasion for Selfless Service’, which began in the second week of October 2010 was concluded yesterday, January 5th, the day of offering, when the final results were offered to Srila Prabhupada and their Lordships at the Wednesday Night Gita Class held at the ISV temple in San Jose
