Each year, the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust publishes a limited number of copies of a Vyasa-puja book—a collection of homages to Srila Prabhupada from devotees and temples all over the world. Srila Prabhupada's unique position as the founder-acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) is significant in numerous ways. Essentially, he is the instructing spiritual master for everyone within ISKCON.

A whopping 150,000 downloads later, we feel this program was a success! Now that we have Srila Prabhupada's English language books converted, we're working diligently on all the languages the North European BBT publishes. And we're beginning to upload other material to the site - audio books (the first volume of the Brhad-Bhagavatamrta is up, narrated by Kesava Bharati Maharaja along with a number of recordings of Srila Prabhupada's books), podcasts, and BBT art images.

The route approved for the festival, Via del Corso, right in the prestigious center of the city, has never been assigned to any event , even famous mundane events! Lord Krishna surely used His powerful yoga-maya energy to all those who were to grant the various permissions, and finally it's done!

The first annual Festival of Inspiration, held in 2001, quickly lived up to its name. It put New Vrindaban, which had recently rejoined ISKCON, back on the map as an important place of pilgrimage for North American devotees. And it introduced a new breed of festival – the Krishna conscious vacation – now hugely popular in ISKCON. This was the first time that devotees from all over could come to hear dozens of senior teachers speak on a wide variety of spiritual, social and academic topics, from japa, interfaith outreach, and cow protection, to child-rearing, healthy marriages, art, and music.

The Vrindavan Festival after Gaura Purnima is usually quite hot so better to come to Vrindavan before! One year, a devotee told me that he never knew there was so nice weather in Vrindavan. So come to Vrindavan first, and then go on to Mayapur Festival and leave after Gaura Purnima when it starts to get hot! And our festival ends with plenty of time to reach for Mayapur Festival!

The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust, Srila Prabhupada's prized institution for distributing spiritual literature for the betterment of society, has had an impact on the world in a tremendous way, the full measure of which we will likely not know for quite some time. Most devotees who have joined the movement owe their commitment and beliefs to reading one of his transcendental publications. Many even joined solely from a book that was given to them by a friend or that sat on someone's shelf for years before being read.

Without being didactic, my recently published Mahabharata: The Eternal Quest, offers an authentic Vaisnava perspective in the understanding of who Krishna is, of dharma, of real leadership qualities, and of the foreboding nature of our age, the Kali-yuga. All this as the story moves steadily forward, and as the tension builds, and all in under 280 pages (a comfortable read for a college or even high school course)
“How did you come to Krishna consciousness?” This is one of the most stimulating questions in devotee-circles. The feature “How I came (HIC)” in Back to Godhead, ISKCON’s official magazine, is one of its most popular features. Being one of the editors for BTG, I strive and pray to make BTG more attractive. So I look forward especially to HIC stories among the articles submitted to us for review
