The work of a great man will touch the life of more people than he himself can know. It will edify, uplift and improve; it will set a foundation on which future generations can live a better quality of life; it will provide sustenance and positive direction to a multitude of souls. In Sanskrit such a person is called ‘mahatma’.

Hare KrishnaBy Hari-sauri dasa

I received this news with mixed feelings. On the one hand, we can be joyful at the glorious passing of such a wonderful Vaisnava. And on the other, we have to lament the loss of his sublime association. It would be remiss not to say something about the glories of Sri Vibhu Caitanya prabhu.

Recently I was involved in a conversation with several devotees regarding vaisnava clothes. Some of them were proponing the idea that sari and dhoti are actually not vaisnava clothes that devotees in spiritual world wear, giving as evidence pictures made by Sharma.

Aug 8 2006 A response to Hari-kirtana prabhu regarding my article

Hare KrishnaBy Hari-sauri dasa

In an age where empirical evidence is supreme and in the face of political pressure these "followers" are reluctant to assert the truth of our authorities's statements. It is therefore prudent to use scientific research where possible to convince the minds of the intelligent class that the Vedas are reliable and authentic.

Jul 28 2006 Srila Prabhupada said that women are less-intelligent than men. Can we support this?

Hare KrishnaBy Hari-sauri dasa

In the introduction of Sri Isopanishad there is a statement by Srila Prabhupada that says that women are less-intelligent. So I distribute books. I sometimes meet ladies and they ask what actually, you know, sometimes they are immediately intimidated and they start to argue, that you say we are less-intelligent. So what would be the best way to address such issues?
