On Friday 3 October 2008 in Copenhagen, Denmark my wife, Vishnupriya devi dasi, was leading the mangala arati kirtan. Half way through the kirtan it was alarming that she had to sit down to finish the kirtan.

I am writing in response to the article on Dandavats.com entitled “Nine Reasons to Change the Design of the TVP.” I will not answer the nine reasons point by point because Ambarisa Prabhu has already done that. Instead, I would like to give one reason that may ring a bell with devotees concerned about the topic. Please bear with me.

Giriraja Swami wrote to us: "I too have heard many devotees express dissatisfaction with the present design, and I encourage the GBC to reconsider the plan."

We do have such resolutions, but clearly they are not known to all, and then some who do know of them consider them to be "not vedic". It has been our experience in ISKCON that individuals "Trained through Traditional Techniques" (TTT) responded from a pre-eminent productivity mind set, whether business, work or family.

Repair and Painting work in the outside structure are in progress in the massive 180 feet high structure of Prabhupada Pushpa Samadhi Mandir. Now, scaffolding has been erected and the work is going on.

There was a fire that burned down the wood shed at Gita nagari on the day of the Festival of Jagannatha Misra. By Radha Damodara's Mercy no one was harmed. This building housed the wood stove that heated the Temple and ashram.

As many of you may know, Gita Nagari is a struggling temple without many rescources. There are less than a handful of devotees living on the property and they are all engaged full time caring for Radha Damodara.
