The school is run by the Sridham Mayapur Township Trust. By popular demand, this highly devotional offering to HH Bhakti Tirtha Swami is available for the benefit of all to see, hear, and relish. Special footage of Maharaja that truly captures his very unique transcendental mood has now been included in the same DVD.
Jun 30 2006 Was the head of our sampradaya a child abuser?
First, Srila Prabhupada very clearly states in one of the first purports that this was NOT the Brahma who was instructed from within by Krsna, and became the founder of our sampradaya (Brahma is a post, not a person). Prabhupada says that this Brahma with the daughter Vak is from a different kalpa.
1.Preaching without trying to understand people's needs and interests 2. Continuing to speak without determining if people are understanding or accepting what you are saying 3. Not paying attention when people talk 4. Interrupting people when they talk

It is a total spiritual package of glorifying Lord Jagannatha and association of devotees for two consecutive days in the heart of Toronto. Welcome to 34th Annual Toronto Ratha-Yatra.

Jun 28 2006 Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. Hospice Project
It has recently come to our attention that there is some confusion regarding Buddhi Yoga Society, and Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. Inc. (www.vaisnavascare.com). Although both organizations are concerned about the welfare of the Vaisnavas, they are separate and different organizations.
Jun 27 2006 Readings from Jaiva Dharma, Part One
O master, in this world there are many devotees who are on the platform of Vaisnavabhasa. They have outward markings of a Vaisnava and they diligently chant the holy name although their chanting is on the level of namabhasa. Even though they chant, after many days they still do not attain pure love for Lord Krsna (krsna-prema). Why is that?
Jun 27 2006 Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. Newsletter - June, 2006
Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. (Counseling, Assistance, Resource, and Education for the Terminally ill and Their Families) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the devotees of Srila Prabhupada and Lord Krsna when they require end-of-life assistance. Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. has an ever-expanding network of volunteers around the world who assist the dying devotees whenever and wherever possible.
Thirty years ago, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada requested us to purchase the Fisher Mansion as the new home for Sri Sri Radha Kunjabihari and the Detroit Hare Krishna movement. The media loved the Ford-Reuther connection, and Srila Prabhupada gave Detroit His blessings.
Jun 27 2006 DĂ©jĂ vu
In India, the rule of propaganda is a simple one: Whoever has the loudest speaker gets heard. Volume equals truth. “The truth,” therefore, is whatever information you repeatedly hear the loudest. However, the danger of speaking loudly is that you might not be speaking rightly.

Jun 27 2006 “The Pizza Effect”
Originally, in India, of course, no separate religion called Hinduism ever existed. Rather, there are numerous religious traditions, from Vaishnavism, which is the eternal function of the soul – the religion of transcendental principles brought West by Srila Prabhupada – to Shaivism, Shaktism, and a host of other sectarian religions.

Jun 26 2006 A PROPOSAL FOR IMPROVING ISKCON
My view is that ISKCON is an educational institution. Indeed, in the seven purposes which Srila Prabhupada set down in 1966 when forming ISKCON's first constitution, the first purpose is "To systematically propagate spiritual knowledge to society at large and to educate all people in the techniques of spiritual life…"
Jun 26 2006 Regarding the zero tolerance policy
Your appeal raises a very deep philosophical question, which threatens the very existence of the Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya sampradaya, because the first child abuser in the creation is none other than the head of our sampradaya, Lord Brahma.
Jun 25 2006 In reply to the Hinduization of ISKCON
Yes, we should preach to other Hindus and Vaisnavas in the same way that we preach to Atheists and members of other religious traditons. We should point out the unique aspects of our philosophy to them.
Jun 25 2006 Uttar Pradesh Plan to Control Hindu Temples
Religious Endowment Minister Ashok Bajpai said the Government did not want to unnecessarily interfere in the affairs of temples, mutts and religious trusts, nor were there any plans to take over their control.
Jun 24 2006 Congratulations
I am glad you have offered your site as a way to be introduced to the leaders of our movement - who are they, what is their service, how do they think, and how are they practically applying the teachings of Srila Prabhupada to their lives and to the spreading Krishna Consciousness.
Jun 24 2006 Devotee Matrimonial Website
We need nice photos of devotees--marriage photos are great. Photos of just a man or just a woman are useful, also. Photos should be obviously of devotees with tilaka, etc. We need photos of devotees with bodies of various races, ethnicities, etc. And, you will get paid for the use of your photo!
To not manage through a temple board i.e. to think you know everything and don't need input from others or to cancel or not hold meetings because you don't believe in or like meetings.
Support for this revolutionary legal approach which, in effect, invited claims against ISKCON was the direct result of a worldwide consensus of ISKCON membership, and may accurately be viewed as an unequivocal expression in loving support of all of those children who suffered simply unimaginable abuse.
Jun 22 2006 One week on
As we know the GBC body is not infallible, just in case anyone is thinking like that! This is one of the reasons why Srila Prabhupada created a body of devotees, as opposed to installing one individual to run ISKCON. It is also of course the example that Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Maharaja set. The clear advantage of having a body of devotees making decisions is that on balance their collective decision making will be more often right than wrong.
Jun 22 2006 CPO Response to Zero Tolerance Petition
So, while I support the spirit of this petition, I feel that the CPO judges should have some latitude to invoke a range of restrictions appropriate to the facts of each case.
Jun 21 2006 Festival of Chariots graces British capital
On Sunday 18th June, the three 40 foot high Rath Carts left Hyde Park on their intrepid journey to Trafalgar Square. In front of each cart was a sea of devotees and pilgrims, swarming the streets and filling the sky with the chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra and the beating of drums.
Jun 21 2006 Letter from Dhanurdhara Swami to the devotees
Though I can't say I realize all the pain I have inflicted, I have witnessed the strong emotions of those I have harmed and know their wounds are deep. I'd like to reiterate my pledge to continue to meet gurukula alumni, beg for their forgiveness, and to offer whatever help I can.
Jun 21 2006 Prison Preaching Expands to Gwalior
Even in temple and other religious gatherings I have seldom seen the type of welcome we received. Sri Dangi himself entered our names and particulars in the register, a formality that we always have to do before entering any jail. They have these huge wooden doors and inside is like a vestibule with offices on either side and then another set of huge wooden doors.
Jun 21 2006 Print your city’s Vaisnava Calendar on your home
Now Online Vaisnava Calendar can be viewed on standard calendar format, this means week to week and one month in each page, not more like prior versions where your simply see a continuous list of dates.
Jun 21 2006 BTSWAMI PUSHPA SAMADHI INSTALLATION FESTIVAL
Special thanks goes to the Gita Nagari devotees for such a welcome and a wonderful festival. For those of you that have not visited Gita Nagari, it is a special place situated in the middle of a forest in Penssilvania. It is yet another one of those wonderful places that we should be grateful to Srila Prabhupada for giving us for our spiritual inspiration.
Jun 20 2006 Proper Rectification for Child Abuser
When I was in school, I went to Jagannath Puri. I felt so pure in that environment that I chanted around 80 rounds every day for a week. But unfortunately, my mind was somewhere else. When I analyse it, chanting 80 rounds did not spiritually elevate me.
Jun 20 2006 Book Distribution of the Future–Today
“I see this taking off everywhere. It’s the future, because many temples now have fewer temple devotees but more congregational members. This encourages the masses to participate. Even those who can’t go out for book distribution directly can help by offering service or donating Laxmi for the cause.”
Jun 20 2006 London Rathayatra: Here is what happened
Then what we had been waiting for all week began: the carts began to roll. Everyone, even onlookers, started moving in response to the parade's movement, which initially was slow, like jets entering a runway one by one. The anticipation we had all been feeling reached a climax.
Jun 19 2006 Gopal soft toys
"From his very birth, Uddhava was a natural devotee of Lord Krsna, or a nitya-siddha, a liberated soul. From natural instinct he used to serve Lord Krsna, even in his childhood. He used to play with dolls in the form of Krsna, he would serve the dolls by dressing, feeding and worshiping them, and thus he was constantly absorbed in the play of transcendental realization."

Jun 18 2006 Interview with Bhakti Tirtha Maharaja on Prayer
June 18, disappearance day of H.H. Bhakti Tirtha Swami. "What concerns me is that we want to be more mindful in everything that we do so that everything we are doing is an offering to Krsna or it's a prayer."
Jun 18 2006 Memories of Tamal Krishna Maharaja
By 1979, the Radha-Damodar Traveling Sankirtan Party buses were all broken down or dry-docked, and I was serving on the Indian library party out of Bombay. Tamal Krishna Goswami called me in Bombay and asked me to return to the United States to take a bus on the road again.
Jun 18 2006 Degree of advancement of spiritual master?
Srila Prabhupada said in certain places that one should accept a spiritual master whose guidance will make one's life perfect. Would it make any difference to one's spiritual progress if the spiritual master one accepted was at a different level of realization to, say, another spiritual master?
Jun 17 2006 Gopal and Sally Agarwal remember Prabhupada

Jun 17 2006 Welcome to Krishna Lila Entertainment
Here you can find a host of musicals, dramas and comedies, depicting the pastimes of the Lord and His associates, elucidating the Vedic philosophy, whilst exposing the flaws of atheistic science.
Jun 17 2006 Dear GBC members
So all of you have been using your brains, having meetings, have been trying different strategies and also praying individually, but may be now it is time that everyone all together go to Srila Prabhupada with him as your leader and approach Lord Sri Krishna and let Him guide you. It may sound impractical but it is not.
