Hare Krishna, All glories to Srila Prabhupada, Please accept my humble obeisnaces.
Yesterday Jeeturaaj, famous RJ in Mumbai sent me text message asking about ban of Bhagavad Gita in Russia. After sending him the petition Email which was sent by GBC EC body to all temple presidents, he came forward to take phone call interview of someone from Russia.
When we requested H. H. Bhakti Vijnana Gosvami, he immediately agreed to be available today morning 7.30 am
Please find attached herewith the recording of the radio interview.
Please forward this to as many devotees as possible to create awareness of this issue.
Srila Prabhupada’s Bhagavad Gita can not be banned in any country.
Your servant, Sankirtan das
RJ, Jeeturaaj has his very famous show at Radio Mirchi station at 98.3 MHz in the morning between 7.00 am to 11.00am
Before actually airing the interview, he created a wonderful curiosity in the minds of the listeners.
He aired it just before 10.00 am when there is maximum audience.
Thanks to him for supporting ISKCON in this most crucial hour of crisis.
Some words of CAUTION from Gopala Krishna Maharaja on the Gita Protests: The involvement of politicians has now attracted the attention of the global Media in this case and they have been calling up the National Communications Office in Delhi for interviews and inputs on the story.
National Communications is constantly… in touch with Sadhu Priya in Moscow and Bhakti Vijnana Swami in South India.
We have to act very cautiously as we do not want the Russian Government to think that we are campaigning against them in India. This could influence the Russian Government to act negatively against ISKCON in Russia.
Fortunaltely, Members of Parliament from all parties spoke against the ban in Parliament today. The Congress has also just issued a statement against any type of ban on the Gita in Russia.Tomorrow the External Affairs Minister of India is going to make a an official statement on this issue in Parliament. [But we should be careful that] We do not want to politicize this issue. Today the Kolkkata temple had organized a protest march to the Russian consulate in Kolkkata.
Both Bhakti Vijnan Swami and myself feel we should not organize protest marches to the Russian Consulates. This issue has been a hot topic in all the TV channels all day. Srila Prabhupada’s Bhagavad Gita has been exposed almost all day by most of the TV Channels today. The Times of India had 3 articles on the influence of the Gita in today’s edition.
