From February 6-8 2012, at the Vaishnava Academy in Mayapura, The ISKCON Ministry for Sannyasa organized a training seminars for sannyasa candidates. Eighteen sannyasa candidates attended the seminars. The candidates expressed appreciation for the seminars presented by experienced sannyasis and preachers such as H.H. Prahladananda Swami, H.H. Candramauli Swami, H.H. Bhaktirasamrita Swami, H.H. Yadunandana Swami, and H.G. Navina Nirada Das.

The topics covered during the seminars included the meaning of sannyasa in ISKCON, leadership qualities of a sannyasi, three qualities of a sannyasi(fearlessness, purification of one’s existence, and study of the scriptures), the history of sannyasa, and integrated preaching strategies. During the second day of the seminar the candidates visited the Jaganatha Mandir and enjoyed hearing Krishna Book and chanting of ecstatic bhajans.
