VIHE is heartily inviting all the serious students to our transformational Bhakti-sastri course. Bhakti-sastri course is a systematic study of Srila Prabhupada’s books. Srila Prabhupada wanted all of us to deeply study his books, so that we could be better preachers, teachers and, very importantly, achieve a clear understanding and application of the beautiful science of devotional service. Sri Vrindavan Dham mercifully provides a unique environment to enhance one’s taste and appreciation of the treasures of direct bhakti.
This year the English Bhakti-sastri course in Vrindavan is scheduled to take place from July 19 to November 12.

Requirements for the course: Good sadhana, brahminical tendencies, voluntary service, proficiency in English and a recommendation/character sketch from a senior devotee who knows you well. Assessment criteria include attendance and personal conduct.
Assessment : Essays and closed book exams accompanied by exemplary conduct and sadhana.
Contribution to the running costs of the course : Rs. 9,000/-. Lunch prasadam is served in the VIHE, sponsored by the alumni students and other well-wishers. A few scholarships are available.
Admissions close on : July 1, 2012.

Bhagavad-gita (all 18 chapters) – 17 weeks

Nectar of Devotion (first 19 chapters) – 5 weeks

An introduction to Deity Worship - 10 hours

Sanskrt pronunciation and meter - 6 hours
