By Radha Mohan Das

ISKCON UK Book Distribution Minister, Vishvambhar das, was out distributing books when he bumped into world-class professional footballer, Anthony Gardner (former Tottenham Hotspurs and England player, currently with Sheffield United) and his wife Mehrnoosh. The couple were so attracted to the philosophy of Krishna consciousness that they not only took a book but instantly struck up a friendship with Vishvambhar das.

Later that evening they broke their journey at Watford to visit Bhaktivedanta Manor. Vishvambhar showed them around the temple and then invited them to his house where they met his family and spent the rest of the evening. They are planning to return to the Manor for the Janmasthami festival in August.
