Dear Prabhu

Please accept my respectful obesisances.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Here is the final offering for MSF of All You Need is Love (Krishna) from Raxit prabhu.

Your humble servant
Damodara Vamsidhari Das (Deepak Chandani)

Dear Devotees,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

The Monthly Sankirtana Festival (MSF) entitled “All You Need is Love (Krishna)”, held over the last few weeks in celebration of Sri Krishna Janmastami and Vyasa Puja, was concluded on Friday, August 10th on which day the MSF results were offered to Srila Prabhupada and their Lordships at the ISKCON of Silicon Valley (ISV) temple in San Jose.

The goals of this MSF were:
1.To distribute at least 3501 books including 500 Krsna books
2.To collect at least $6000 Laxmi points.
3.To assemble meditation kits and mini sets
4.To publish an ISV souvenir

We are pleased to report that all these goals were met and surpassed. Here’s a brief report of the MSF highlights and final results.

In his request to devotees Srila Prabhupada said:
“Our business is to glorify Krishna and to popularize Lord Caintanya’s Hare Krishna Movement”

In keeping with that spirit and to enlighten conditioned souls from the darkness of ignorance and onto the path of developing love of God, ISV devotees did massive book distribution during the month of July and the first week in August to accomplish the proposed MSF goals.

They distributed books at several venues, including the San Francisco Ratha Yatra, a Harinama performance in Palo Alto, several shopping plazas in South Bay, a hospital in Mountain View, a motel owners’ convention in San Francisco and the ISKCON temple in San Jose. In addition, ISV devotees both adults and kids went door-to-door to distribute books through several apartment complexes in the Bay area over the last full month. The Sunday school kids had set a goal to do at least 15% of the total ISV books goal, which they smashed by distributing 25% of the total, comprising 847 Books (including 126 Krishna books), collecting $1015 Laxmi points from Kids Sankirtana.

The MotelGita team displayed a joint effort by devotees of ISKCON Atlanta, ISKCON Laguna Beach and ISKCON Alachua, placing 2265 Gitas in various motels across the US. Books were also distributed via the Smart Box placed at several establishments in the Bay Area.

During this MSF, 20 meditation kits and 8 mini-sets (containing big books) were distributed. Devotees also made donations to support book distribution and sponsor full cases of Krishna books.

Here are the Final Results from this MSF book distribution (as amended):

In all:
More than 80 devotees participated in book distribution as above
7553 books including 556 Krishna books were distributed
$10,021 Laxmi points (from MSF book distribution) and $10,500 in donations* were collected
(*major donations include $10,000 for MotelGita by Ramananda-sakha Pr and $500 for MSF by Damodara Vamsidhari Pr).

On behalf of team ISV, we thank all participants and donors who contributed to sponsor Krishna books and support book distribution, the Sankirtana leaders for their organization and planning, and all the team/group leaders and members for their diligent efforts at book distribution. Our special thanks to HG Vaisesika Prabhu for his continual inspiration for book distribution. We also thank the Souvenir team for publishing the 2012 ISV Souvenir and releasing it on Janmastami day.

Janmastami-Vyasa Puja MSF ki Jaya!

Yours in service,

Raxit Jariwalla
