Hello Adikarta,

Hope all is going well for you and everyone else over there. I’ve been keeping up with your blog though, and everything seems wonderful! I saw that last get together you had, Goverdhana Puja Festival? Looks like a lot of fun and connecting with people.

I just have been wanting to tell you something that happened in my life that I keep thinking about. It’s not a big deal, really, but it just helps me believe, once again, howserendipitous life really is, and that when you’ve mad a healthy choice in your life the higher power is there to support you.

So enough with all this rambling, what I am talking about is a book. I was in my mothers bathroom the other day, and when I turned around I saw a book called “Chant and Be Happy”. Now while it really is not odd to find anything laying seemingly abandoned anywhere in my mother house (she has LOTS of things…everywhere) I was wondering what this particular book was doing here. I picked it up and opened it, and to my surprise realized it was a book about Hare Krishna! A picture of George Harrison and John Lennon are on the front, which I think is a little silly and just a tactic used for marketing back when the book was published and those guys were the hot topic, BUT to my delight it featured interviews and conversations with His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Now I know this is not by any means a sacred texts, but I just thought it was such a great read to segue someone into the teachings and beliefs of Hare Krishnas. And they also have the definition of words mentioned that they think people won’t know at the bottom of the page, so I’ve been writing them down and making a key for myself. For instance now I know what a dhoti is, prasadam is the vegetarian food offered up to Krishna, and I learned what a tamboura is. I have two pages in this little notebook of words I don’t know, and I’m only a little more then half way with it. It is all so interesting to me, and I’m trying to soak it up as sponge like as possible.

And so anyway I just wanted to fill you in on this awesome little discovery that I feel was placed into my life to show me I have the right idea with where I want to be in the near future.

Lots of best wishes!
Corinne
