HG Yudhistir Govinda Das and HG Advaita Krishna Das from ISKCON Delhi recently met Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam, former President of India (2002-2007), at his residence.

Dr Abdul Kalam who has previously severed at the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organization
(ISRO) as a scientist, has been a recipient of several national and international awards. He is popularly also called as the “Missile Man of India” for his contributions to the India’s Nuclear development program.

A very humble and down to earth person Dr Abdul Kalam greeted the devotees and spoke at length need for a internal change in the society.

He was very appreciative of the food distribution program that ISKCON is carrying out especially the mid-day meal. He also spoke about his visit to the Bhaktivedanta Hospital in Mumbai where he felt that the hospital was “righteous to the word.”

Thank you.
