Who Are We?

Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. (Counseling, Assistance, Resource, and Education for the Terminally ill and Their Families) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the devotees of Srila Prabhupada and Lord Krsna when they require end-of-life assistance. Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. has an ever-expanding network of volunteers around the world who assist the dying devotees whenever and wherever possible.

Our Board of Directors are: Jusaniya devi dasi (ACBSP), Kaulini devi dasi (ACBSP), Jagarini devi dasi (ACBSP), Nirakula devi dasi (ACBSP), and Sangita devi dasi (ACBSP).

Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. services include:

Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. volunteers visit terminally ill and chronically-ill devotees in their homes/temples/hospitals etc. and read to patients, chant with them, sing bhajans for them, and bring them prasadam.

Our volunteers provide compassionate “spiritual care” for the dying devotees.

Recently, our services have also extended to devotees with temporary, catastrophic illnesses.

Our volunteers give emotional and spiritual support to the families of the dying devotees. They lend a helping hand to give the family caregivers a much-needed break so they can rest.

Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. mails “CARE packages” to dying devotees and families requesting Tulasi japa beads and beadbags, Tulasi leaves, holy Ganges water, maha-prasadam, tilaka, and transcendental photos, CD’s, and books.

We assist families searching for local hospice services in their community.

Our website at www.vaisnavascare.com offers a Prayer Request Page for “Prayer Partners” around the world to post their prayers and support for devotees and loved ones facing difficult circumstances and end-of-life concerns. With the help of our dedicated and sincere Prayer Partner volunteers, Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. has been able to form a worldwide community of devotees to support one another through difficult times.

Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. website offers a free, basic, online hospice course. Many devotees around the world have already completed our V-CARE course and have received their Certificates of Completion.

V-CARE gives educational seminars. We offer the only hospice guide for terminally ill devotees and caregivers entitled, The Final Journey—Complete Hospice Care for Departing Vaisnavas (Torchlight Publishing). Our website offers a variety of information on hospice and palliative care, including user-friendly information on complementary therapies to assist with patient comfort.

Our Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. website offers a Support Discussion Page for those who have questions or would like to share their ideas with our other readers.

We have a monthly Health and Well-Being Newsletter to provide our readers with updated health information, health tips and recipes.

Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. has a Transcendental Nectar Page and a Lecture Page with transcripts of inspirational classes and other writings.

Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. website offers a page for devotees to write and share their past experiences with a dying friend or other loved one.
