Banking benefits for Iskcon members

On August 1st, 2007 Sun Trust Banks, Inc. announced the launch of “My Cause”, a program that offers clients a unique opportunity to help their local communities and non-profit organizations. The promotion offers clients the choice to have Sun Trust make a $100 donation in their name to any charitable cause in the U.S. or to receive a $50 gift card for their own personal use.

I would strongly recommend to anyone that may need a new personal or business checking account to take this opportunity and direct their donation to one of the ISKCON temples. You may choose your local temple as your cause; the bank will mail this $100 donation on your behalf to the temple you choose to be used in Krishna’s service.

In addition to this, as a result of a strong relationship for the last 25 years with ISKCON devotees in Hillsborough, N.C., the Bank officials in North Carolina have recently added ISKCON to the list of organizations to which they offer special banking benefits for personal accounts. These benefits are normally offered to the employees of companies with which the bank has a mutual relationship, however, in the case of religious organizations, they extend these benefits to all congregational members as well.

Anyone interested in taking advantage of these benefits simply need to indicate that they are member of ISKCON at the time of account opening or if you already have an account previously established it could be upgraded to Sun Trust Preferred or Smart Solution account.

For more information about “My Cause” or to find out if your local temple is listed as a charitable organization please visit the link below and type ISKCON in charity search:
