The story where Lord Narasimha courageously protected his child devotee Bhakta Prahlad and killed his demoniac father Hiranyakashipu. Since today is the apperance day of Lord Narasimha, I thought it would be appropriate to share my experience with Lord Narasimha and how he protected me.

First, only representations of birds, horses, turtles and even single lions where found but not a morphological combination of men and animal.
Lord Narasimha, The Supreme Refuge! Lord Narasimha, also known as Mahasimha, appeared on the Earth as Ugrasimha, feared by many, mighty and puny. The Lord emerged from the pillar, appearing in the form of a fearsome killer, with the upper half of a ferocious lion’s head, and the lower half of a human’s body.
Lord Narasimhdev is an avatar of Lord Vishnu. He is worshipped in a half man and half lion form. Lord Vishnu had taken this incarnation many millennia before, in order to kill the demon king Hiranyakasipu. Hiranyakashipu was abusing and try to murder his own devotee son, Prahlad, simple because Prahlad worshipped Lord Vishnu as the Supreme.
Last year before Nrsimha Caturdasi we received several incredible stories of Mayapur Lord Nrsimhadeva saving devotees. He cancelled devotees’ cancer, and provided a couple with a baby. In a disciple’s dream He showed that He was protecting Jayapataka Swami, and when a huge bush fire raged towards a devotee’s home, upon her prayers He blew the flames away.
