From the Lost Village producers

Dear friends and well-wishers,

The producers of the documentary Mother Ganga are launching another documentary project, Lost Village.

Depicting the majesty and splendor of untouched nature, this documentary reveals the simplicity and beauty of village life. It portrays the joy and hardship of villagers and focuses on their values, which invoke deep sympathy and respect. The purity of their songs and voices, the enchanting sounds of nature and the unique music soundtrack, make this film an unforgettable experience. Lost Village presents the knowledge and wisdom of village people. It reveals the hopes and fears of real people in real situations.

This film brings forth the insights of its main character, Lokanath Swami. He was born and raised in Arawade, a remote village of Maharashtra, India. For a couple of decades he has been extensively traveling throughout the world. But his knowledge, erudition, and vast experience could never eclipse the home of his heart:

“Arawade, I am happy to be home! I am happy to be here!” We hear the voice of Lokanath Swami, who is presently working on his book of life-long experience. And Lost Village voices his message to the modern day society.

This character based documentary Lost Village is not the story of one village or one villager, but a story of 500 thousand villages in India and millions endangered to vanish from the face of the Earth. It portrays life’s pleasures and pains, while highlighting the undaunting spirit of human hope, faith and love.

Our goal in creating this film is to reveal the wisdom of traditional Indian life, while taking the viewer to the pristine natural beauty of one village. This documentary aims to raise the awareness of humanity at large and to show what society is loosing while the Vedic culture is disappearing.

You can become part of our team in creating this unique project. You can assist us in many different ways: finances and donations, studio facilities and filming equipment. All your contributions and participation are very welcome, needed and highly valued.
