The Institute for Vaishnava Studies (IVS) and ISKCON of Gainesville announce a new 7-month Vaishnava seminary course in Gainesville, Florida. Students will enjoy the simplicity of ashram life, deep scriptural study guided by highly experienced teachers, and a variety of practical life skills
(including marriage and family planning, finance, communications, music, cooking and more) taught from a Krishna Conscious perspective.
Senior devotees from the Gainesville and Alachua ISKCON communities will teach the courses, including GBC members H. H. Hridayananda Goswami (as a periodic guest speaker), Tamohara and Mantrini Prabhus (marriage and family) and many others.
Tuition and room/board costs are waived for those willing to spend 14 hours per week in volunteer prasadam distribution services.
Classes begin August 25, 2008, and conclude on April 30, 2009, with break time over the year-end holidays.
Openings for two students remain, one male and one female. Any devotee or aspiring devotee between the ages of 18 and 29 is welcome to apply. For an application or more details, contact Kalakantha das at kalakantha.acbsp@pamho.net.
