In commemoration of the 92nd Anniversary of Sukorejo Village, Bangorejo Subdistrict, Banyuwangi Regency, enlivened the cultural arts parade. This parade aimed to clean the village environment from negative energy. The Hindu Parisad and Hindu community invited devotees to participate on the parade. Then the devotees accepted the invitation and coordinated with the Ratha yatra Nusantara team to make preparation.
The Committee for Cultural Carnaval explained that the participants of the Cultural Arts parade in Commemorating the 92nd anniversary of Sukorejo Village were followed by 1000 participants. And more than four hundred devotees and Hindu community participated on the parade.

The cooking team arrived a day before the festival, they prepared the prasadam for the devotees and the local hindu. The hindu committee let the hall of the temple as the basecamp of the team prepare the necessity and as contemporary altar. Ladies from hindu community help the devotees prepare the prasadam, they also supplied vegetables to be cooked. The chariot team also arrived aday before the festival. they started assembling the chariot and decorated it with flowers garland. Lord Jagnnath deities also took long Journey from Malang to Banyuwangi.
Two buses of devotees and some devotees who brought their own cars arrived in the morning. They started to help the devotees prepared the necessity. Then at 10 local Hindu started to come to the temple. They prayed in the temple and then listened class that give by H.G. Ramanuja brahmacari. the class explained about the glories of ratha yatra and introduced Lord Jagannath deities that they already familiar with Jagannatha. They listened attentively to the class.
After the class, the Deities were carried to the chariot. Then the priest and devotees offered coconuts as the sign of the ratha yatra was started. the devotees and the local hindu pulled the chariot to the field that other participand already there. the sun was shine brightly that Lord Jagannath were spotted by the sun rays directly. Then Ramanuja prabhu then asked devotees for umbrella used for shading the Lord. Only one umbrella available, some devotees rushed to the shop whether there is umbrella available. Suddenly dark cloud hang on the sky as giant umbrella shading Lord jagannath as it was sent by Lord Indra.
the parade was opened by the village chief, one by one of the participants performed in front of the honor stage. After performed in front of the stage the devotees pulled the Chariot in the village main road. Many visitors waited on the sides of the road. Devotees distributed oranges prasadam to the visitor. The fire up kirtan was led by Jay Bim brahmacari. aftert four Kilometres devotees pulled Lord Jagannath then they arrived back to the basecamp. The devotees and the local hindu then honoured prasadam that already prepared. The chief of the village also visited the basecamp and devotees prepared prasadam there. even he is from different fait he took prasadam happily. The committee of the temple were very happy and felt that they were motivated by devotees. As Srila Prabupada said in his letter….“as far as possible, distribute prasadam”(SPL to Jayapataka, 21st June, 1969).
“Try to make this Hare Krishna movement popular through any source that is possible. That is our business.” (SPL to Syämasundara, 29th June 1969)”
Everything came out so well just because of the arrangements and blessings of Srila Prabhupad who is certainly happy to see these ratha yatras. We thank HH Kavichandra Swami and HH Ramai Swami, the GBCs of Indonesia for their continuous support in increasing sankirtan all over Indonesia. We would like to especially thank HH Subhag Swami for inspiration and guidance in making the festival the most wonderful one and guiding us all to come closer to Prabhupada.
