The Bhaktivedanta Swami Gurukula School is currently seeking to employ teachers
for the 2019 school year for the following positions:
Full-time high school teachers in the subject areas of:
English Years 7 – 12
(additionally, duties may include teaching HSIE, elective courses and various aspects of the PDHPE program;
part time engagement can be discussed)

Application for these positions will be open from Monday 26/11/18 until 24/12/18. Interviews for the shortlisted candidates will be scheduled during the application process and following the Christmas and New Year period. The successful candidates will be announced by 7/1/2019. Employment commences from 21/1/2019. The 2019 School Year starts on 4/2/2019.
The position of a full time (part time) teacher carries a range of responsibilities which include:
Discharging conscientiously with all due proper care, attention and diligence the education of children in accordance with the policies and practices of the Gurukula and the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
Developing educational plans and implementing such plans for the relevant KLAs according to the NESA syllabi (including the HSC courses), Gurukula policies on integration of Krishna Consciousness and other relevant documents.
Actively participating in further learning and professional development for teachers and implementing best practice teaching methodologies.
Performing all the duties as imposed by law and directed by the school and abiding by the School’s Code of Conduct.
Eligibility, Qualifications and Personal Attributes
Master/Bachelor/Graduate Diploma in Education or equivalent from an accredited college or university
NESA teacher registration
Teaching experience in the relevant subject areas
Australian residence or visa allowing employment in Australia
Being an active and practicing devotee, whose lifestyle and professional conduct are in accord with the precepts as presented by Srila Prabhupada
All candidates are required to have no criminal record, current Working With Children Check (NSW) and clearance from the ISKCON Child Protection Office.
