This temple celebrates all major Gaudiya Vaisnava festivals, and has a regular Sunday feast attendance of close to one hundred devotees, and guests. The kirtans and prasadam are always ecstatic, the devotees are very friendly, and many senior ISKCON ,and well known devotees give discourses here. The surrounding community is favorable to Krishna Consciousness, and over the years we have developed solid relationships with more than a dozen other temples in our catchment area. Our building is located less than five minutes walk to the MTA train ,and central shopping area, and even less than one minute from the nearest public bus stop. Contingent upon the foregoing conditions, the Lord’s and the Vaisnavas’ mercy not withstanding , our temple has acquired a stable niche in the South Richmond Hill community; the Hare Krishnas are here to stay! This situation has translated into a lot of growth in our programs, congregation, projected plans, and Krishna’s and Balarama’s appetite for more and more. At our temple, Krishna and Balarama( Sri Sri Hari Haladhari) are worshipped according to standards adapted from the Sri Sri Krishna Balarama Mandir , Vrndavana, India. _*We now have a position open for a full time pujari, who will be paid a monthly stipend, with free board and lodge*_. The person who we are looking should be a second initiated single male devotee with recommendation from a bonafide temple authority. Our prospect should be a US citizen, US legal permanent resident ( green card holder), or he sould have already filed documentation to obtain a US green card; experience* *as a pujari , and additional talents such as playing musical instruments, leading kirtan, ” a taste for public Harinam” , and giving discourses are welcomed assets, but not absolute requirements.
