Some glorification of Narada Muni
Payonidhi das: Dear Devotees
Please accept my humble obaisences
All glories to Srila Prabhupada
When we read this 6 chapter of Srimad Bhagavatam 1 canto, we all become very happy, because it describes the pure devotional service of Sri Narada Muni, he attained a transcendental body as described in in SB 1.6.28 now how could Hirranyakasipu then control Narada muni as described in Srimad Bhagavatam 7.4.14 and why would Narada Muni even glorify Hiranaykasipu the answer is that is the sweet Lila of Lord Narasimha, Narada Muni externally glorified Hiranyakasipu , he also had Kaydhu the wife of Hiraykasipu in his asrama when he was performing tapasya to please Lord Brahma.
And Prahlada Maharaja heard the glories of Lord Visnu in the womb. Also we read in the 6 canto how Narada Muni got cursed by Daksa for liberating his sons like the Haryasvas..so much so he could not stay in one place. So is Narada Munis transcendental body subject to material laws and modes, that would seem to contradict Srimad Bhagavatam 1.6.28, the fact again these are the lilas of Krsna and Srila Narada Muni..perbhabs the acaryas has explained this somewhere I am not sure I have not seen it only what Srila Prabhupada has given which is enough for me.Later Krsna told Narada Muni he could stay in Vrindavan at Govardhana this place is called Narada van or Narada kunda close to Kusuma Sarovara at Govardhana.. Krsna told Narada that Vrindavan is not part of this material world. So Narada Muni stayed there and wrote Nara da bhakti Sutra of which Srila Prabhupada was very fond.
Srila Narada Muni also was allowed to enter into Krsnas Rasa lila and given the form of Naradia Gopi-Yoga maya personified Purnamasai dipped him in Kusuma Sarovara .Thus according to many saintly persons in Vraja one should take a holy dip in Kusuma Sarovara and pray to Krsna and Purnamasi that ones spiritual form be revealed.Sila Bhaktivinoda Thakura has glorified Narada Muni in his bhajan Narada muni baja vina that Srila Prabhupada commented on.When we go to Govardhana
we should please stop at Narada Van and pay obaisences to Narada Muni who is at the head of our disciplic succession.Sri Prahlada Maharaja has also prayed that his first duty is to serve his spiritual master Narada Muni
SB 7.9.28: My dear Lord, O Supreme Personality of Godhead, because of my association with material desires, one after another, I was gradually falling into a blind well full of snakes, following the general populace. But Your servant Nārada Muni kindly accepted me as his disciple and instructed me how to achieve this transcendental position. Therefore, my first duty is to serve him. How could I leave his service?
Krsna once brought me to a place called Kakinada in Andra Pradesh and it was my good fortune because this is the place where Narada Muni did tapasya and left his body as described in SB 1 chapter.6. There is a small temple with a most beautifull Visnu Deity there and a lake which was created by the tears of Narada in his “previous bir th ” as that small boy.
I pray Narada Muni may bless us all with pure devotional service.
There is a prayer in the Narayana Kavacha SB 6.8.17:” May Devarṣi Nārada protect me from committing offenses in worshiping the Deity”.Srila Prabhupada point out in the purport we should pray to Narada Muni in order to be abel to avoid the 32 offences in Deity worship as described in Nectar of Devotion
your humble servant
