Parijata devi dasi: For the first time in its history, ISKCON Juhu celebrated chandan yatra on 17 May 2009. The presiding Deities Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari along with Sri Sri Gaur Nitai and Sri Sri Sita Rama Laxman Hanuman were anointed with sandalwood paste for the first time since Srila Prabhupada personally installed them in the seventies. Devotees and congregation members ground sandalwood paste for almost a week and prepared fresh and seasonal flower outfits and ornaments for this special event.
