Vraja Mandal Parikrama Day 2 – Vrindavana to Mathura (Album of photos)
After mangala-arati at the Krishna-Balarama temple, we circumambulate the temple and follow Sri Sri Nitai Gaurasundara and Srila Prabhupada.

Bhataronda
A quiet spot on the top of the hill. Sri Sri Rafha-Bhatarondabihari are the temple Deities. One morning Krishna asked his friends to go and beg food from brahmanas. Brahmanas ignored the boys’ request. After returning empty handed Krishna instructed them to beg from their wives. Brahmanas’ wives rushed to the spot bringing bhat, rice. Hence this place is known as Bhataronda.

Akrura-ghata
Here Akrura had darsana of Krishna Balrama in the form of Visnu and Sesa Naga.

While bathing in Yamuna early morning Nanda Maharaja was arrested by Varuna’s servants. After rescuing him from Varuna Lord Krishna showed him and other cowherd boys the spiritual sky, the Vaikuntha-lokas.

Lord Caitanya also lived at Akrura-ghata for sometime when He was visiting Vrindavana.

We stop at Birla Mandira, take darsana of a beautiful Deity of Lord Krishna and honor breakfast prasad.

Krishna-janmasthana
It is an impressive, heavily guarded structure that towers above all the buildings in Mathura. We go to the temple of Sri Kesavadeva.
Persons who have entered into the birthplace of Sri Krishna even once in the month of Kartika certainly obtain the Supreme Lord Krishna.
At Bhagavata Bhavan we take darsana of very large Deities of Radha and Krishna, Jagannatha, Baladeva, Subhadra and Rama, Laksmana Sita.

We also visit potra kunda where Krishna’s baby clothes were washed.
