Location: Bhaktivedanta Manor, Watford – WD25 8EZ, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom.
Inspire a vibrant temple, with its communities, congregation, worshipers, guests and visitors, in devotional culture as taught by Srila Prabhupada.
Ensure that the charity’s objects as set out in its constitution are strictly followed, and that the charity’s resources are used to further its charitable aims.
Represent the temple and ISKCON in general, as a figurehead at functions, internal and external, as deemed appropriate.
Lead by exemplary Krishna consciousness and the related morality.
Ensure a culture of care is prominent.
Engage the Managing Director to assist in achieving the stated objectives.
Establish and uphold the spirit and ideals of the Vision 2020 document.
Chanting Hare Krishna mantra 16 rounds a day.
Following four regulative principles of ISKCON.
Attend morning programs (minimal 4 per week).
Attend all festivals and major events, focusing on the devotional content, character and teachings, and the care of volunteers and participants.
Chair the temple council meetings, and other meetings as deemed appropriate.
Inspire, maintain and establish devotional standards.
Support the development of policies to sustain and protect the devotional culture.
Ensure the recognized standards of deity worship are catalogued and maintained. This includes the main altar, temple room, and Srila Prabhupada rooms.
Attend to the spiritual needs and behaviour of all staff, employees, residents, community and congregation.
Ensure the temple remains and prospers as a center of excellence for Vaisnava education.
Ensure that a functional and effective mentorship system thrives. And that all those bearing responsibilities are appropriately trained and appraised.
Consolidate and maintain all ceremonious functions, including diksa, according to authorized standards.
Organize and expand community and congregation, through periodic functions, gatherings such as sangas, istagosthis and prominent events.
Promote a culture of respect that exists amongst diverse participants, departments and communities.
Ensure the highest standard of care for temple dependents, in health and spirituality, and ultimately that lifelong provision is available to residents and lifelong residents respectively.
Offer spiritual counsel as appropriate.
