Dear Maharajas, Prabhus and Matajis,

Please accept our humble obeisances All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Why is Radha Kunda so exalted? The lake ( Kunda ) is so exalted because it belongs to Srimati Radharani, Who is the most beloved object of Sri Krsna. Among all the Gopis, She is the most beloved. Similarly Sri Radha Kunda is also described by great sages as the lake that is as dear to Sri Krsna as Sri Radha Herself. Indeed Radha Kunda is rarely attained by great personalities fully engaged in devotional service.

Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura writes in this connection that Sri Radha Kunda is the most select place for those interested in advancing their devotional service in the wake of the lady friends ( Sakhis and Manjaris ) of Sri Radharani.

Srila Rupa Goswami recommends that even if one cannot live permanently at Radha Kunda, one should at least bathe as many times as possible, or do some seva to the Kunda. Bahulastami, the appearance day of Sri Sri Radha Kunda and Shyama Kunda is an opportunity for such bathing and seva. If anyone is interested to do seva after the bathing, we have accomodation here at Naveen Kishora Mandira.

” Any devotee in the month of Kartika on Bahulastami day who offers dipa dhana ( ghee lamp ) to Sri Kunda, will be most dear to Radha Krsna and will eternally live in Goloka Dhama ” ( Skhanda Purana ).

” Any devotee who bathes in Sri Radha Kunda, Shyama Kunda, does any seva there or simply remembers from a long distance, will become the special object of favour of Radha and Krsna. ” ( Padma Purana ).

We are requesting you all to please come to Sri Radha Kunda on the 30th of October, Saturday around 5.30pm onwards and have the darshana of Radha Kunda, Shyama Kunda and Lalita Kunda which will be decorated with 4500 ghee lamps and then take a Holy bath at midnight.

This festival of ghee lamps we have been doing for the past twelve years on behalf of Srila Prabhupada to get the blessings for everyone’s devotional service.

” I bow down to offer respect to any person who vows to reside until the moment of his death in the beautiful land of Sri Vrndavana, the original kingdom of transcendental bliss. Noticing that such a person is becoming qualified to become one of Their personal associates, Sri Sri Radha Krsna considers, ‘ What arrangment shall we make for this person? ‘ ” ( Sri Vrndavana Mahimamrta 6.35 )

” In all three phases of time ( past present and future ), she has no desire other than to serve Sri Radha’s lotus feet. She is always plunged in the shoreless ocean of happiness of Sri Radha.

Even in Her dreams She does not know anything but the lotus feet of Sri Radha. She is always plunged in the ocean of pure love of Sri Radha. ” ( VM 8.34, 35 )

” Why should a person who is a slave to lust and other vices, who hankers after fame, and who has abandoned the right path, not attain perfection in Vrndavana, if he has somehow attained Vrndavana’s mercy? ” ( VM 8.87 )

” O Vrndavana, although I am very fallen and even though I boldly lie when i say, ‘ O Vrndvana, I am yours ‘, I beg you please be merciful and accept me anyway. ” ( VM 8.90 )

” O Radha, deep in the Vrndavana forest, You have stolen the jewel of my heart. Please give me the sweetness of Your smile. I am Your servant. ” (
12.36 )
