HH Subhaga Swami is out of the intensive care. He was there just to be watched after the surgery. He is now walking and cheerful..

I visited HH Subhag Swami in the hospital this morning. He is very strong and happy. He needs to rest there for one week. The hospital is first class and there are many nice young brahmacaris who are taking good care of his spiritual needs. The hospital is getting purified.

Urban farming and self-sufficiency
I saw a documentary on how home gardening was the biggest hobby in America. It showed people growing veggies on their apartment balconies. I liked this article very much. This kind of thing should be encouraged. Of course not evryone can do it. But it would be much easier to start than for everyone to move to a farm. In many countries devotees do have space for a garden.
Those in the documentary said they loved getting home from the stressful office to their carrots inpots on the balcony..

Vishnupriya devi dasi - Health Update
When I was in Fiji in 1979 Visnu Priya Mataji was always most helpful for our preaching. She was always very KRSNA conscious with a humle service attitude. Jer kind hospitality influenced many to take up Krsna Consciousness. I have also known Sankarsana Prabhu since 1971 when he was preaching in Austin, Texas with HH Vishnjana Swami. Both Husband and wife are fortunate to have each other and are an ideal example of grhastha life who have only assisted each other in their preaching and devotional service. They have shown nicely that one need not be a sannyasi to be popular world preacher. What is required is offering everything to Lord Caitanya’s mission.
I know that Lord KRSNA will take care of Visnu Priya devi in any condition because she has unconditionally surrendered. This is an another wake up call for all of us that this life is like water on a lotus leaf.Comment Posted By KCSWAMI On 04.10.2008 @ 21:12
Knowing and Saying Goodbye to Sundararupa dasa
We have heard very nice remembrances and praises of HG Sundararupa prabhu. His passing has left Mother Sudharma (his good wife), and their daughter without a husband, father and bread winner. He was a very dutiful father and husband who did not leave a big fortune behind.
I don’t know so much of the details of Mother Sudharma’s years of service to ISKCON. I do know that she is an emblem of tolerance, more than any tree. She has not wavered throughout many challenges and is facing this new one with firm conviction that Krsna will protect and provide. She served many years with the Woman’s ministry. If anyone feels inclined to offer some practical help, kindly refer to the following.
“She will not beg or brag. She is worthy of praise and help. At the moment her biggest concern is not for herself but to carry Sundarupa Prabhu’s ashes to Mayapura. Along with the trauma of losing her husband and friend, Sudharma is also looking at the stark economic reality of the loss of the family income for her and her 13 year old daughter. HG Sadaputa dasa Adhikari: An Appreciation
I hope that we can honor Sadaputa Prabhu by publishing his books, lectures and TN shows. Origins Magazine is still cutting edge, especially with the rise of the ID (intelligent desigh) proponents.
Often great thinkers become will known after their departure.. I hope that will be the case with Sadaputa Prabhu.

Sundarapupa Prabhu pushed “CONTACT SANKIRTAN”. I think that if more temples would take up that style of book distribution it would be a very fitting way to honor his service to Srila Prabhupada. It would also mean a nice increase in our preaching.
I am certain that the vaisnava community in Alachua is offering and will continue to offer all help to Sudharma Mataji, the good wife of Sundararupa Prabhu, and their young daughter. While he has gone to a better place, they are left without a father and a husband. Sudharma Mataji has done great service to Srila Prabhupada’s mission, serving selflessly and brilliantly in many capacities.

Great PICTURES. This is very pleasing to to Srila Prabhupada. Let us arrange for the conditioned souls to see and hear our most charming children chanting the HOLY NAMES> That will attract many to take up chanting.
