Thank you for posting this Article. His Holiness Bhakti Raghava Swami Maharaj recently visited California before coming to London. Maharaj Visited different ISKCON temples like at San Jose,Los Angeles, Laguna Beach, Denver, Dallas and few more. Maharaj emphasized to understand the urgent need of implementing Daivi Varnasrama in today’s modern day society. Maharaj met senior devotees in our community like H.G Banabhatta Prabhu,H.G Ravindranath prabhu and all the devotees greately appreciated His Holiness work.

Maharaj gave a class in ISKCON of Silicon Valley ( ISV) temple at San Jose about important themes of Bhagavad-Gita connecting that with Gita Nagari. Srila Prabhupada wrote an essay Conceptions of Gita Nagari. This essay appeared in Back to Godhead magazine in 1956 and basically this is about Srila Prabhupada realizations and insightful prediction about building community or establishing communities. Gita Nagari means a place, a community or that village where all of the residents living as example of Bhagavad Gita or “ Bhagavad gita in action “. Recently I was reading H.H Lokanath swami Maharaj comments on Daivi Varnasrama and Maharaj commented (CC Madhya 8.58) “varnashramachara vata purushena param puman, Vishnur aradhyate pantha nanyat tat tosha-karanam” The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Vishnu, is worshiped by the proper execution of prescribed duties in the system of varna and ashrama. There is no other way to satisfy the Supreme Personality of Godhead. One must be situated in the institution of the four varnas and ashramas”Harer namaiva kevalam, Varnashramaiva kevalam! The quoted verse is originally from Vishnu Puran 3.8.9.
