Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
While 26 2nd Ave may not be open most of the time, I can vouch for the fact that every Saturday evening it is open and full of vibrant activity. I and my wife, Subhangada dasi, have been running and organizing a program, the purpose of which is to attract new people to, and cultivate them in, Krishna consciousness. This has been going on for just over one year now. As part of our service, we support the maintenance 26 2nd Ave. by making a monthly donation that covers a portion of the monthly rent.
Anyone who comes to New York and wants to see 26 2nd Ave. in what I think is the same mood in which Krishna consciousness was being spread decades ago is more than welcome to join us.
I beg that you pray to Lord Caitanya that we continue with this service without being impeded by any obstacles.
Your humble servant,

Thank you for submitting such a wonderful article for us to read.
You have such deep realizations. When you preach, I think you help place Krsna in the’ hearts of devotees and nondevotees alike due to your making them feel inspired and loved.
One thought I have about that has to do with how devotees affect others to act devotionally. When devotees in positions of authority have tried to force those under their supervision or other form of “control” to follow their instructions, in the long run the devotees who had seemed to follow end up doing just as they wanted to in the first place. “He that complies against his will is of his own opinion still.” You inspire devotees. Although there is a trend in the leadership of our Hare Krishna Movement to be less authoritarian, forceful and insensitive “leadership” remains rampant and thus indicative of fanaticism.
Another thought I have is that as you have such nice and mature realizations, I hope you will share them as much as possible with the rest of us in this world. Among other means of doing so, I ask that you write and publish books. Not only is the substance of your message important and helpful, but your writing style and knowledge of English is excellent. Often great devotees and preachers publish works that unfortunately are replete with mistakes in the use of the English language, mistakes which may turn off many of the more learned nondevotees.
