Hare Krsna! Please accept my dandavata pranamas. All Glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga! Thanks so much for posting this article, as a neophyte I find it most encouraging.

Did the universe create itself?

Hare Krishna,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All Glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga!

While I agree that the idea of a self-created universe is absurd, unfortunately among the scientifically “enlightened” your argument may be considered a bit ineffective at proving this. According to quantum mechanics it is indeed possible for an object to inhabit multiple states (possess contradictory qualities which appear to be mutually exclusive), and this way of thinking is very popular now (search for “Schroedinger’s Cat” for more detail on this).

The modern student of physics is so conditioned that the contradiction inherent to the notion of a self-created universe does not preclude it being true.
Not long ago holding such beliefs would have been considered a psychiatric symptom, but sadly today it is the norm…

Initiated from TV show

Hare Krishna! Please accept my dandavata pranams. All Glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga!

That is so cool that you have established a transcendental television broadcast. Have you considered making your shows available for download on the internet, or perhaps putting them on youtube or even streaming them online via shoutcast?

I am certain there are many of us outside the Dallas area who would receive it enthusiastically.

Scared to become a devotee

All Glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga! Please accept my dandavata pranams.

I really identified with what you have to say here, especially the rock and roll and drugs. I am ashamed to admit this, but due to my former “sex, drugs, & rock and roll” consciousness it took from 1979 (when I first read Bhagavada Gita As It Is and first visited a temple) until 2007 for me to get serious about spiritual life and finally accept initiation. Of course I also still fall down but I keep getting back up.

I like that you said you “survived” the realization that rock and roll will not bring happiness. That was a hard one for me too, but thankfully I am over that now. I thank Krishna everyday for all the wonderful devotees making fine Krishna conscious music. It’s all I listen to now, and I find it most satisfying.

Hare Krishna!

Cultural Conquest

Jai Caru Dasa, what a wonderful service you have performed! I have long enjoyed your Vedic Observer and other broadcasts from KHQN as well. Please accept my dandavat pranams. You are setting such a nice example for us all with your preaching and surely Prabhupada is pleased.
