By Radharaman DasWe have shifted 17 families and demolished their 17 houses and Srila Prabhupada Janmasthan is finally FREE. Since we do not want to offer Srila Prabhupada a construction site on his 125th birth anniversary on 31st August 2021, we have initiated the 1st phase of Srila Prabhupada Janmasthan in which we have started construction of 260 feet boundary wall around the property to secure it. We will also complete the frontage and area around Jackfruit Tree. Srila Prabhupada Lotus feet are being made in white maharana marble in Jaipur and four cornerstones which will be installed on 31st August 2...

By ISKCON GainesvilleI’d like to you all honor and praise to my elders and my ancestors that came before me that allowed me to participate with you today. um and I’m just going to tell a couple quick anecdotes about um what the Krishna community has meant to me and what it’s meant to Gainesville. I think at large when I grew up in Gainesville. I moved here between my fifth and sixth-grade year and when I got to be a little bit older in high school, I attended Gainesville High School, one of our highlights so we could feel like a little bit older and a little bit wiser and more connected. We had days...

It really is a delight to join you all and Mayor Poe in celebrating 50 years of the Hare Krishnas in our community of Gainesville and 50 years here at the University of Florida and 50 years here on the plaza. I understand indeed that nearly 3 million meals have been served here at the University of Florida by you all brothers and sisters in the Hare Krishna and I wanted to say that universities have traditions that their alumni remember, we have mister Tots which is an important tradition at the University of Florida for about 50 years but we also have, as...

By Pranata Karuna dasNot everywhere we may stop our bus. But on the roof we have speakers from which the maha-mantra sounds as we drive. In residential areas, where are more people, we slow down and they hear the Holy Name. In order for people to get acquainted with the Holy Name, we painted the bus from all sides, even on the roof. In front of the bus we have a running line with the Hare Krishna maha-mantra constantly lit. The goal is for all people to be able to read the Holy Name while we are driving. Sri Harinam Sankirtana ki Jaya!

Sometime later, working in London and being at a crossroad in life, she decided to pursue her spiritual quest. Wanting to find out more about Krishna Consciousness and not able to locate a Hare Krishna temple in London she decided to fly to Vrndavan instead where a friend had given her a temple address.

By Kasisvar DasThe Covid-19 pandemic delayed everything in the world and many festivals and events were placed on hold for months. Millions of people have been pulled out of their comfort zone to realize what Bhagavad-Gita calls the reality of this temporary miserable world, dukhalayam ashashvatam (Bhagavad-Gita, 8.15). Many even regret that life will not be the same. And though some people look at the global spread of Covid-19 with pessimistic eyes, true devotees always seek the shelter of Lord Krishna while trying to preach His message to others in turbulent times.

By ISKCON Sannyasa MinistryAnyone who has no other interest but to dedicate his life to the service of the Lord is actually a sannyasi. Such a person always thinks of himself as an eternal servant, dependent on the supreme will of the Lord. As such, whatever he does, he does it for the benefit of the Lord. Whatever action he performs, he performs it as a service to the Lord. (Bhagavad-gita 9.28 Purport)

CPT’s have the special focus of helping local management implement policies that enhance safety, including screening those in positions of trust; awareness training for adults and children; and responding to concerns of child maltreatment. CPT members receive basic training from and work in tandem with the Child...

By Vaisesika DasaWhile getting vaccinated against COVID-19, I remembered these words from Āyurveda-śāstra: auṣadhi cintayet viṣṇum. When taking medicine, one must remember Viṣṇu because ultimately He is the active ingredient that makes any medicine potent. More prominent in my mind, however, was my recollection of Śrīla Prabhupada's mood when it came to vaccinations, or for that matter, his approach to life in general. Srila Prabhupada once nonchalantly commented “All right, let us have,” when getting vaccinated against the Hong Kong flu. Perhaps he got vaccinated due to his need to tr...

By Lokanath SwamiIt is my great pleasure to inform you that the first online Nityananda Trayodasi Festival hosted by the Kirtan Ministry was a resounding success. And the Ekadasi Sravana-Kirtana Festival is slowly, but surely becoming a part of devotees’ Ekadasi sadhana. The story of how the Hare Krishna movement came to Africa is captured with much enthusiasm by Brahmananda Swami, who Srila Prabhupada asked to preach in Africa in early 1971. When Srila Prabhupada visited Nairobi in the same year, he remarked that it was one of the most wonderful places in the world. Srila Prabhupada encouraged preachin...

By Ramcharan DasOn 10th February 2006, the beautiful temple of Their Lordships, Sri Sri Radha Madan Mohan ji, Krishna Balarama and Gaura Nitai was inaugurated in the auspicious presence of many GBCs, sannyasis and senior devotees of ISKCON. HH Bhakti Charu Swami Maharaja had constructed this beautiful marble temple in a very short time of 9 months and 20 days, which is an unbeatable record in itself. Some people say just like the time a child takes to get shaped in the womb of a mother, this beautiful temple took shape in the heart of Ujjain in garbha-kala.
