HG Arcita Prabhu: The yogi achieves self-realization by overcoming the powerful illusion of maya, which both creates and influences the material world. Surrendering to Krishna allows one to transcend maya’s influence. Maya is described as extremely difficult to understand and conquer. True self-realization means recognizing oneself as part of, not identical to, the Supreme Soul. This realization leads to engaging in devotional service, which is the ultimate perfection of life.
