Take The Simple Process Of Chanting Seriously | HG Vaisesika Dasa | Japa Jolt | 02 Apr 2025
The service that we do is always based on our intention. If we’re cooking something or we’re dressing The Deities, or let’s say, leading a kÄ«rtana, we’re chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa. But if that mantra coming from our heart is actually, “Look at me. Look at me. Look at me. Everybody, look at me,” it’s not the same as if you’re expressing, you know, “Kṛṣṇa, You’re everything.” So the real service comes from that intention of the way you’re doing it. And chanting is the time, as I said in the very beginning, when you can fully express that, and even a molecule of that expression of sincerity is what connects us so deeply with Kṛṣṇa, because He’s already there waiting for us to look, look in His direction. So you can think of it like that. He doesn’t need anything from us, but when we give our loving attention with the mood of service, then that’s service itself.

By Srimati Dasi. Srila Prabhupada tells us: Leaders who have fallen into ignorance and who mislead people by directing them to the path of destruction are, in effect, boarding a stone boat, and so too are those who blindly follow them. A stone boat would be unable to float and would sink in the water with its passengers. Similarly, those who mislead people go to hell, and their followers go with them. -SB 6.7.14
Urgent Alert Save Your FB Videos Now! Facebook Live Videos Vanish Soon!
Advaith Srinivasan: Facebook announced a major change that will impact temples that use the platform as their programs’ archives. This change is going to affect all ISKCON temples, projects, and devotee’s facebook profiles/pages around the world. Since a lot of communities use Facebook to live stream their classes and other activities, it would be nice if they can take action on this by archiving and saving their videos. This will ensure that their videos are preserved for future generations and that important media won’t be lost.
