In honor of Global Beatles Day today, I have written a blog post celebrating the band’s legacy, with a specific focus on George Harrison’s profound spiritual connection to Krishna consciousness and his pivotal contributions to the ISKCON community. I have also included pictures and accounts of today’s London harinama and Food for Life service.
Every year, on June 25th, Global Beatles Day invites music fans to reflect on how four lads from Liverpool impacted our popular culture. To celebrate, we went on our own mini-pilgrimage in London to explore how The Fab Four were instrumental in bringing Eastern philosophy, as embraced by the Hare Krishna movement, into the Western mainstream.
