The 50th Anniversary of the Los Angeles Rathyatra was more than a celebration. It was a beautiful reminder of five decades of Lord Jagannath’s mercy flowing through the streets of Los Angeles. Thousands gathered in joyful kirtan, a colorful procession, and heartfelt devotion. It was especially inspiring to see devotees from around the world, many of whom have been part of this historic festival for decades, reunite to celebrate this golden milestone. For one day, the streets of Los Angeles became a place of pilgrimage, and Venice Beach echoed with the holy names of Krishna as Lord Jagannath showered His mercy upon everyone.
