Prabhlad speaking to Lord Nrasimhadev

TEXT:

vimuñcati yadā kāmān
mānavo manasi sthitān
tarhy eva puṇḍarīkākṣa
bhagavattvāya kalpate

Translation:

O my Lord, when a human being is able to give up all the material desires in his mind, he becomes eligible to possess wealth and opulence like Yours.

Purport:

Atheistic men sometimes criticize a devotee by saying, “If you do not want to take any benediction from the Lord and if the servant of the Lord is as opulent as the Lord Himself, why do you ask for the benediction of being engaged as the Lord’s servant?” Śrīdhara Svāmī comments, bhagavattvāya bhagavat-samān aiśvaryāya.Bhagavattva, becoming as good as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, does not mean becoming one with Him or equal to Him, although in the spiritual world the servant is equally as opulent as the master. The servant of the Lord is engaged in the service of the Lord as a servant, friend, father, mother or conjugal lover, all of whom are equally as opulent as the Lord. This is acintya-bhedābheda-tattva. The master and servant are different yet equal in opulence. This is the meaning of simultaneous difference from the Supreme Lord and oneness with Him.

Lecture:

Pretty achintaya isn’t it? Yes, no and both yes and no at the same time.

Pranam mantras:

“pashchatya-desha-tarine”, not only in the western countries but the world, but Srila Prabhupada went to the western countries by the order of his gurumaharaj to deliver the western countries that are filled with impersonalism and voidism. So true to the pranam mantra, which presumably Prabhupada composed himself, who had the scholarly acumen. When we began chanting pranam mantra, I don’t know any historic record, Prabhupada composed his own prnam mantra. In any case, whoever composed it, that’s what he did, he delivered the message of Caitanya Mahaprabhu which is founded in Srimad Bhagavatam or the message Srimad Bhagavatam is the message of Caitanya Mahaprabhu and the message of Caitanya Mahaprabhu is the message of Srimad Bhagavatam as they are inseparable.

Jiva Goswami argues, and that teaching of achintaya beda beda tattva, is credited to, the nomenclature is credited to Jiva Goswami. Meaning, before Jiva Goswami’s time that phrase was not known. Jiva Goswami coined it. What are the teachings of Caitanya Mahaprabhu when compared to other smapradayas there are four. There is a sankrit term, and what is the Sanskrit term for Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s teaching to Jiva Goswami? Simultaneous one and difference. So here we are, defeating impersonalism and voidism. Voidism, not only in the west, worldwide becoming more articulated without anecdotal verification. People that move from material turmoil towards spiritual, aren’t properly guided.

Commonly, it is impersonal and not this, what is it? the definition is it’s not this. Its formalised nethi nethi process, informalized by what people do little survey and think of themselves as spiritual, you get consistent answer it’s all one. Even those who are non-atheistic scratch the surface and it comes out like that in other words describe, ask them to describe the kingdom of God what do you get?

Keep going, and you get there, can’t be any form, and God cannot look like that, Goloka the planet of cows, no. Anyway, I’ve done it I invite you to do it. You scratch the surface, even the theist are impersonalists. So what is achintaya beda beda tattva look like? Well, this verse’s purport is explaining Prahlad maharaj is revealing one of the features of difference and non-difference simultaneously. The servant, tarhy, tarhy means at that time only and kalpate in the verse, kalpate becomes eligible, doesn’t mean the servant is Bhagavan. The servant is the servant of Bhagavan. But the servant of Bhagavan becomes eligible at that time, at what time? there is no material desire in the mind to become eligible to become opulent as Supreme Lord.

Pause. Prabhupada’s anecdotal statements in that direction, in the early days 26 second avenue one person asked Prabhupada a question Swamiji, “it is said in the scripture, you said the spiritual master is one who becomes knower of all vedas, knows all things, is that true?”, Yes. Could you tell me how many windows there are in Empire State Building? Prabhupada without hesitation said, how many drops of water are there in the mirage? He didn’t elaborate, it’s not the spiritual master is encyclopaedic, he is the knower of all, he knows the difference between illusion and reality and further, as far as whenever a person in Srila Prabhupada ‘s position, an unalloyed servant of Supreme Lord has no other desire than Krishna’s desire. Krishna gives him whatever he needs to know for his service. Krishna has different means besides being situated in the heart, He has different means of providing His unalloyed servant of what Krishna wants. Turn left or right etc. what to do in a complex circumstance.

Our Mahabarata teaching repeated often by Srila Prabhupada is “Mahājano yena gataḥ sa panthāḥ (CC Madhya 17.186)” from that section of Mahabharata where Yudhistir is asked by Yaksh. series of dharmic questions and one of them is, sometimes in a particular situation dharma this, conflicts with dharma that, how do you decide ? Yudhistri’s answer was yes, it is complex so therefore we cannot just follow rules, we need to follow Mahajan. Mahajan is one who has capacity to discern between this dharma, and that dharma, and whether to turn left or right.

One who has that capacity is described in this verse, they have no material desires. Therefore they are eligible to be bestowed by Krishna with whatever opulence Krishna wishes to give them, unalloyed servant. That’s an opulence. One of the 6 principle opulence of bhagavan. So how many window there are in the empire state building?. The knowledge necessary for a great soul, is the illusory existence is illusory, and the substance is real that’s what the consciousness, that’s what has been described. The Consciousness of the unalloyed devotee that has no material desire, is their consciousness can fix on the Supreme Lord.

Just the context of this, few other things. The context of this is chapter 10, Prahlad has been asked to take a benediction. And his reply is, please no benediction, because our relationship is you are the master and I am the servant, and is not business relationship where I do something, and you do something for me, that is not the relationship. The relationship is nothing else, but I am the servant and you are the master. So please don’t ask me to take a benediction.

Then he goes further that of the 9 process of Bhakti, Prahlad is perfect in remembrance and you can’t remember if there is material desire. That’s been described in this section. When there is material desire, the repeated word is famous in this verse, Kaman, the desire specially means desire separate from the Supreme Lord, because the servant simply desires the desire of the Supreme Lord. How can you discern what that desire is? Only when there is no material desires. Material desires is really simple definition, really simple. Spiritual,- nothing separate from Krishna. Material, -seeing things separate from Krishna, material, that’s the definition.

It is one of the catur-Sloki verses in the entire Srimad Bhagavatam. It goes like this, one who sees in something that there is value, artha is the Sanskrit word, Srila Prabhupada translates like this, separate from the Supreme Lord. One who sees in something there is value in and itself separate from the Supreme Lord, seeing in that way, that’s my illusionary energy. So one who is covered by maya can’t see Krishna. And what is the essence of seeing things in maya, it is seeing things have value in and itself, separate from Krishna, in other words, it doesn’t belong to Krishna.

I got a big pocket its empty I got to put it in my pocket and make it mine. That’s material life. It doesn’t have to be things, vastu, in the sense of shop or object or paraphernalia or some reach of material energy. It can be knowledge or other things that are less gross and more subtle. I want to fill my pocket, make it mine, independent of the Supreme Lord and there is value but just like Srila Prabhupada discussion with professor Durkin, is classic. Professor Durkin, nice man, professor in Germany, arguing the position knowledge for knowledge sake. Keeping it simple because of time.

Srila Prabhupada said knowledge has to be applied otherwise its meaningless. No, no knowledge for knowledge sake and back and forth and Srila Prabhupada was patient then he kind of like slammed him. It’s useless. That which is maya, that which is knowledge separate from utility of service to Krishna. Srimad Bhagavatam is teaching, Caitanya Mahaprabhu is teaching, achinta beda beda tatttva is teaching, our life is teaching us, it has no value, unless it has application of service to Krishna.

SB:1.2.8

dharmaḥ svanuṣṭhitaḥ puṁsāṁ

viṣvaksena-kathāsu yaḥ

notpādayed yadi ratiṁ

śrama eva hi kevalam

that’s strong. The materialists, as Srila Prabhupada is quotes from the beginning the materialist, they take that you know Swamiji, why are you so harsh. You are sadhu, and sadhus are always peaceful and they never say things like this swamiji. Srila Prabhupada was the protector of siddhanta and he was tracked, tracked, just listening to morning walk conversation, another Prabhupada’s anecdote.

The devotees were appreciating who Srila Prabhupada dealt with the CEO of Dina Pon, when they were negotiating the contract. And the devotees were saying, Prabhupada was listening how you dealt with that, in the office you know, corporate people and Srila Prabhupada coming in in his doti in Japan and negotiating the contract something they never did before, they did. Which was they agreed to printing, they signed a contract without the person wishing the publisher to publish it to give them a bunch of money bfore they signed the contract, but they did it. And Prabhupada, “what you did was amazing” and Srila Prabhupada chuckled and said and when the CEO said I am a Buddhist, and when I asked him if he is a vegetarian, and he said no, I chastised him what kind of Buddhist are you. Prabhupada laughed and all the devotees laughed.

Devotees, whenever they went back to office, they always say, oh swamiji is such a nice man. How could he do that? You are not a Buddhist, what kind of Buddhist are you? Because of purity and many other qualifications, his age, and the empowerment of Krishna he could say those things. We can’t say those things and we will be bounced out of the office very fast. We can’t imitate, but we can understand the non-compromising nature of our Acharya. Of course, he knew when to when not to. How did he know when to and when not to, because directed by Krishna. And how did he do that? No material desire .

Now, I want to go to another topic, hit the pause button go over here and then come back again. Some of the devotee are from China, and you know I visit China. From visiting China, I have to learn more about Buddhism than I did before visiting China, because a lot of people say, I’m Buddhist and then they ask how do you compare Bhagavad Gita teaching with Buddhist teaching? That’s very common. So I had to know more about what is Buddhist teachings.

Really short, because it can get more than short, gets complicated but one of the essential teachings from Gautama Buddha, the history is there the young prince, son of a king he had princely privileges as he grown as a man, he went here and there in the kingdom and he saw people suffering without the detail. The fourfold miseries it turned out and they saw they are suffering because of material desire. And he saw mendicant who wasn’t suffering as he had no material desires.

So he, as a prince decided that I want a life like that. I don’t want this suffering. So he went to a particular place sat under a bodi sattva tree and attained a state of buddhi or became Buddha, and his realization was impersonalist, voidist . His realisation was, the root cause of suffering is material desire, soul become free from material desires, what he have left?, Nothing. Therefore his teaching is known, I don’t know, but nirvana and nirvana means nirvisesa sunyavadi, nothing.

Do it again, the problem is somethingness and the solution is nothingness. And how to do get to nothingness give up material desires. Jiva Goswami addresses that some of you may have taken the time for interesting exercise of trying to follow Jiva Goswami’s arguments in tattva sandarba where he says, No, Srila Prabhupada made it really simple , he didn’t say root cause of suffering is desires. Fill in the blanks, But he said the root cause of suffering is _______, ignorance and the essence of ignorance is, ignoring Krishna. And from ignorance comes ignorant desires, you turn your back to Krishna what do you get? Darkness.

But still, there is desires as desires are concomitant with the soul, so you get material desires. And then with material desire you get material activity. Fruitive activity, karma, karma comes from kama and kama comes from avidhya. So what’s the solution. Vidhya. Not just annihilate the desires, nothingness. You free yourself from material desires. How are you going to free yourself from material desires? It is in his prayers. You need association, of those who have that capacity, those who have that position no material desires. And you need sadhana, sadhu sanga leads to bajana kriya. If you do it properly, it leads to anarthana vrithi and keep going. You have the spiritual desire.

Ha, that’s the solution and spiritual desire is the desire to serve. The benediction is, please keep me engaged in your service, where there is no mat desire, no desire with knowledge instead of ignorance. Here Prabhupada’s very simple way of saying that. When you look at the sun what do you see? Light, turn your back to your sun what do you see? shadow. What’s the solution?, turn to the sun. Back to Godhead remember Krishna, that’s our teaching, it’s teaching of Rupa Goswami, it’s teaching of Srimad Bhagavatam, its teaching of Caitanya Mahaprabhu, teaching the Srila Prabhupada gave us. Rupa Goswami message is, of all the vidhis of bhakti, there is one that all presuming principle that is always remember Krishna never forget Krishna. That’s Prahlad and he knows how to get there. We read the Bhagavatam properly we also know how to get there.

One part of the problem is, we are covered by maya. We have material desires, material desire by definition is desire separate from Krishna. Desire separate from the positon of serving Krishna. As long as the previous verse says just 2-3 verses previous, the mind, the senses the intelligence , dharma you know instruments of knowing things become contaminated by material desire. You want to give me a benediction, there is nothing between us other than I’m the servant and you are the master nothing else no business. But If you want to give me benediction give me that I don’t have desire anything separate from you. He has no separate desires.

Those that are really qualified, they pray like that. Another Prabhupada’s story one of my favourites. In New York, in Prabhupad’s schedule was, after lunch he would take an nap and in the afternoon, after the nap, he would receive guest and if there is no guests, he would then before evening class he would go for darshan. So one afternoon he went for darshan. Devotees in his room and Srila Prabhupada was having fun, he was asking the question what’s the difference between you and me? And the devotees were ,saying Srila Prabhupada this, and Srila Prabhupada that, etc and they were laughing. But then the time for arati, so Prabhupada said the difference between you and me is that you can fall down I cannot.

Devotees said, Jay Srila Prabhupada and off they went to the temple room for Srila Prabhupada to hear the evening class. The evening class Prabhupada was standing before the deities, Radhe Govinda, with his palms folded and the devotee next to him heard Prabhupada saying some prayers. Then obeisance, jay radha madhava and gave class and then went to his room. And then devotee standing next to him said, may I ask, you were saying some prayers when you were greeting the deities. May I as what were those prayers? Srila Prabhupada answer I was praying to Krishna that they would never let me prey fall into maya and always engage me in their service. The devotee then said but Srila Prabhupada you told us before the class that the difference between us and you is you never fall down and we will, we may and Srila Prabhupada said now you know why? Because I’m always praying to Krishna.

Prahlad is praying in the same way. Please protect me, benediction? No benediction, here is the desire, it’s spiritual desire and not material one, please protect me from material desire. In the 5th canto Bhagavatam, in the chapter that prayers of the residents of Jambudwip. There are 2 prayers by Prahlad and one of those 2 prayers is “My dear Lord (paraphrasing) your sharp claws and pinching teeth are not a source of fear from me, I pray that you use them to rip from my heart all material desires. He has no material desire. Like Prabhupada had no material desire, but one who is elevated prays that way.

It’s part of nature of Bhakti, that it starts with humility. It starts with humility and it doesn’t disappear when you become qualified like Prabhupada or Prahlad. Its humility and that humility isn’t the material kind of humility or cheap kind of humility, its before Krishna, I’m very tiny and I’m fully dependent on the mercy of the Lord, fortunately he is full of kindness. But I’m eager for his kindness. Consistently eager, how does one become qualified like that? Through association and bhajana kriya being serious about the anarthana vritti process, to further advance.

One last thing and I will stop, see if there is some discussion. Back to the theme in Prabhupada’s purport is acintaya beda beda messge that’s what Prabhupada has taken the purport. So, the living entity is the servant and Bhagavan is the master. One who becomes the unalloyed servant of bhagavan becomes Bhagavata. That’s the Sanskrit. To Bhagavata, “bhagavattvāya kalpate”, going way back to canto 1 and chapter 2 we find this term Bhagavata also.

SB:1.2.18

naṣṭa-prāyeṣv abhadreṣu

nityaṁ bhāgavata-sevayā

bhagavaty uttama-śloke

bhaktir bhavati naiṣṭhikī

So Bhagavata, Prabhupada explains is two. The book and the person. The person, is not the book and the person isn’t equal to the book. The person bhagavata is one who has received the message of the book bhagavata and they brought it into their heart and lived their life accordingly. Not 50% or some percent but they lived their life accordingly.

Even according to the teachings of Rupa Goswami they are cultivating like that, they are following the great souls are in that position, that becomes the Bhagavata, not the unripe mango form of bhagavata, but stay on mind and properly follow with that desire to come to that position, of the unalloyed servant of the Supreme Lord that also a not yet matured Bhagavata. But a Bhagavata.

There is the uttama bhagavat. They are there fully realized, and Prahlad is in that position. So the message is, when one becomes eligible, at that time, tarhy, at that time when there is no material desire. No material desire back again comes to the position where avidhya is gone. Knowing my position, being fully convinced of my position, cultivating my position, following the great souls we have fortunately have great soul to follow, we have Srila Prabhupada. During Srila Prabhupada’s presence in the next generation following Prabhupada and the third generation following the second generation and so forth.

So just a little sharing from our GBC meetings and then I am done this is on the topic. The message is, importance of reading Srila Prabhupada books and I’m sparing you many, many hours of our discussion. For us to experience and celebrate those of you that are younger generation, the second generation, the Srila Prabhupada disciples, we will be gone when iskcon 100 comes. But those of you who wish you celebrate ISKCON 100, short message please, pretty please, pretty please with sugar on top and some cream whatever you like, please carefully, systematically read Srila Prabhupada book. Read Srila Prabhupada books in such a qualitative way, such that it goes inside. Not just information, not like fill your pocket with. Not information gathering, knowing Srila Prabhupada ‘s books, let it go inside, that kind of qualitative and that’s essential and you know its little sharing and you will hear about in coming year, because part of deliberation of the SGGS (Sanyas Guru and Gbc Sanga) felt this is so important so important for many reasons, but you know without the detail.

Several years of study of, one very wonderful devotee Gaura kishna from Russia he is like a scholar or like professor he doesn’t have a professor degree but he is in charge of the BVT, that’s his service. But, he is professorial type of person, kind of like, he is how Ravindra is like. Those of you who read Srila Prabhupada literature that Ravindra wrote that book, “Our founder Acharya”. Anyway, Gaura Krishna did many years of study, a deep study of religious traditions, Judaism Christianity, Islam Buddhism and several subdivisions of those very scholarly work for three years, and he came up with distilled essence that, that’s what I just said, without the details. You will hear more about it as the time passes, but it is essential.

For the continuation, say negative if you want to see ISKCON, more absurd ISKCON, 100 year celebration, don’t read Srila Prabhupada books, you can read them lightly, but not seriously. if you don’t want to see that to happen, and want to see we can celebrate, those of you in the third generation and forth generation please, please very carefully and very deeply study Srila Prabhupada’s books. Because when that has not happen organisation will fail , they vanish they schism and splinter and become useless? That helps one to become bhagavata.

That how you become free from ignorance and that’s the root of material desire that’s the root of material activity, that the root of so much misery. So, we don’t like the misery part. We are not fond of the furtive activity part, but the material desire part. Here we have practical necessities of life but that’s different from the practical necessities of life in service to Krishna. Then the practical necessities of life because I want stuff. I want to, whatever comfortable life reasonable life style, one lead to another, entanglement, its obscured because of ignorance. The risk of dovetailing you know that term? Its Bhakti Siddhanta’s term, but Prabhupada used it also. It’s also in Brahma Samhita, that you have a desire and then Krishna has a desire. It just happens that my desire fits it’s OK in Krishna’s desire category, then I do things because its my desire not because of Krishna’s desire. Not because of Krisha’s desire but my desire. I’m just dovetailing my desire with krishna’s desire.

There is a risk, it’s a razors edge, we have to be careful. The yukta vairagya teaching . Yataham, according to the suitability the language of Rupa Goswami, what’s that? What’s suitable for one may not apply for another person. Keep in mind the goal and one with the goal with proper chanting of the holy name and proper study of Srila Prabhupada books. The 2 tracks of the train program. We need them both, we have been given both. We have been given the means to cross the material ocean.

Srila Prabhupada is speaking of the 5 rasas, in those 5 rasas, the opulence of Krishna is there. Prabhupada gives a simple example that the servant of the king enjoys the opulence of the king, he lives in the palace, he dresses in fine garment, he doesn’t wear a crown, but he dresses in opulent garment and he is enjoying on the platform of the king although he is servant.

A good servant isn’t thinking oh this is opulent life I’m enjoying, this is good I am enjoying the life. The good servant is thinking simply of the interest of the king. Like Srila Prabhupada, another Prabhupada example like a queen, she is a good queen, she is followed around by many ladies and others but she is not interested in them and her interest is in the king. The opulence is there but she interested in the king, the good queen. And so the good servant here we are, with all the opulence of Mayapur, so amazing, the opulence we have so many books. The Bhakti siddhanta, Bhakti Vinod Thakur , Bhakti caitanya maharaj was describing this the lone soldier, he didn’t have any books we have books we take it for granted, it’s an opulence.

Please indulge yourselves in that opulence, read. Worship the deity, look at the opulence. But don’t be the enjoyer of it, be the servant of that gift of Krishna that is meant to simulate bhakti. That’s the consciousness behind the activity, the consciousness of simplicity, humility and gratitude that leads to love. That teaching we have been given we are not impersonalist, we are not voidists, we are being trained , in the realm of bhakti we have been invited it, come on in, Krishna is here. Those of you who are not from America you don’t know, come on in . In Texas, you know come on in, Krishna is inviting us, Come on in. And our Acharyas are backing transcendence for ever inviting the conditioned souls to join them again transcendental loving service, come on in. The cleansing process is there is Bhavavad dharma, no material desires. Strong singular desire that Krishna should be pleased. That it. I am not there, I want to get there, and the means is given.

I talked longer than & I thought of giving more time to questions, yes.

Devotee: Hare Krishna, Thank you very much for your class maharaj. I have a reflection and a question, first I was very much appreciating the point that you made, please endow yourselves on the opulence of reading book. On our flight, we took a flight to China, and Air china. The Air China doesn’t allow the any phones. I had planned ahead of time, that I was going to be reading the Srimad Bhagavatam on the phone and then they came by and chastise me because I had my phone up and so this separation that I felt from not having access to Srila Prabhupada books. So, I was appreciating this point you were making and then if you can expand a little more that in the course of dovetailing how one can protect oneself against allowing ourselves from material desires to overshadow Krishna’s desires

Speaker: Well, first is recognition is there, just like you from the west? So there is a red light, there is a green light and sometimes there is a flashing yellow light. Flashing yellow light means dangerous intersection, slow down look left and right, very cautions proceed with caution. So that’s what you do proceed with caution?, knowing that may be that there is other desire in the dovetail process there is something that is satisfying my long standing, deep rooted material attachments that’s where this propensity comes from. I know it’s there, I’m just being realistic there. Because of that propensity is there. Now knowing it’s there I’m still moving along the vehicle, the sadhana practice vigilant watching the mind , don’t go there.

And in the positive sense, very strong hearing and chanting activities as the means of cleansing it’s not just the activity of the consciousness behind the activity, I want the cleansing exactly as Prahlad says in that prayers, he says in 5th canto prayer, staying in that prayer in the prayerful mood the consciousness, behind the activity, remaining mindful of the goal. What’s the goal ? Krishna, suddha bhakti. I’m not here, so the yellow light is flashing. And I am strongly involved in the hearing and chanting, and I am moving forward that’s protection. Krishna is the protector we can’t do it on own, we required that purity of Krishna. pundarikasha that’s in this verse oh lotus eyed, Om pavitro apavvitro va, ..sarv yasmaret pundarikasham adyantra suchih, like that.

Yes right in front of you, Haridas

Devotee: Yes maharaj, because Srila Prabhupada books are going to be vital we should preserve the scriptures when they were translated originally because some people get disturbed when they are changed and so they feel may be the message has been changed, I love Srila Prabhupada books and I read systematically and I have children you know, who become concerned they say, Is the original is scraped or being changed so we should preserve that and now they say it’s not Prabhupada’s writing.

Speaker: I would like Satya Narayan answer that question, Satya Narayan in front of you chuckling he is a bvt trustee and he knows the topic inside out short? really short.

Satya Narayan: I agree with you and if sometimes from my understanding, if there are any grammatical errors found, and the transcription errors, and if that can be fixed so that one can get little closer to Srila Prabhupada, message that could also be considered and appreciated I think. Hare Krishna

Speaker: Anyone else? Ladies side anyone? No? yes? Oh Badrinarayan maharaj I didn’t see in the corner of my eye

Badrinarayan Swami: Just for fun, just to simulate you know, you were saying that, Speaker: He is the fun swamy.”. Badrinarayan Swami: Hare Krishna,Unless you have to live with me, Speaker: did you give class here, not yet?, Swami:No, Speaker: wait to hear his class everyone is rolling on the ground and laughing such a fun swami will see, Thank you.

Badrinarayan swami: My question is this, you know, you were saying devils advocate, we need to read Srila Prabhupada books otherwise we won’t be able t make it to 100th anniversary. Christians they have scholars, they pour over Jesus’s words and they have and they kept so many varieties you won’t even keep track of it , 31 flavours

Speaker: absolutely

BNS: What’s the difference?

Speaker: Thank you for the nice question and then I’m going to end as it is the time to end. If you listen to the recording of what I said, it’s not just simply information gathering and scholarship, it is not the requirement for continuing in ISKCON. Its Shrivanti gayanti, grananti how does it go inside. It takes sadhu sanga and very strong desire of receiving descending process of those qualitied sadhus. Now is it possible, one can go off into the ditch, absolutely, scholars can go into the ditch, iskcon can go into the ditch. Even reading Srila Prabhupada books and getting the meaning other than what is the intent of founder Acharya in that essence. So, It is not sufficient, the message is not just to becomes scholarly. The message is receiving the descending mercy that Srila Prabhupada wanted to give to the medium of his transcendental writing. It’s the boat, in the 10th canto, chapter 2, it’s the boat that can, great acharya leaves behind for others to cross the material ocean. Not just information of scholarship, it’s to receive the message and its purity by association with others who are similarly committed to receive that mercy through that association, then becomes possible. Particularly for us, very strong connection to our founder Acharya. Even on the royal road, what is the saying, there can be accidents. But the protection of Krishna is there nonetheless. So, one who is faithful to that has the eligibility.

Kalpate, it will happen if Krishna bestows His mercy. It doesn’t happen if Krishna doesn’t bestow his mercy. Fortunately, Krishna is merciful so the intention of the sadhaka, in reaching that destination is imperative. How do we get that purity? Of that commitment, intention, and it’s through association.

Thank you very much , Srila Prabhupada ki Jay!
