Approaching Radha Krishna through Gaura Nitai (video)

In our Krishna conscious movement, we should follow in the footsteps of Lord Caitanya and the six Goswamis of Vrindavan. They were always serving Krishna in the mood of separation, they never said now I’ve seen Krishna or last night I danced with Krishna no they were crying where is Krishna and they were always searching after Him wondering when they would finally be able to see Him we should also desire intensely to see and be with Krishna. But first thing is to become purified through devotional service, it is not possible otherwise so keep on helping me spread this Krishna conscious movement following the rules and regulations very carefully and your life will be perfect and you will see Krishna.

purifies everything yeah very nice so we thank you so much for uh giving us some of your most valuable time uh we are um uh doing this series of celebrating sri chaitanya charitamrita and we’ve asked devotees that have developed a reputation of being deep into caitanya charred amrita and you of course are one of those illustrious and wonderful people I’d like to just let the audience know that we are this is part of a continuing series and we have events going on each day between now and uh gorpornima and in fact we’ve been doing these uh videos on chaitanya charita since february 19th and those videos are up on our website which is the gbcspt.com so you’re a famous devotee actually uh many people know you and it’s possible some of our audience doesn’t uh know you so well um you and I had the opportunity to speak about a week ago uh and and I had never met you actually even though we’re god brother and god sister uh and it’s because you went to india so early in your career when did you leave the us and go to india well in 1972 prabhupad asked for 50 devotees to go in the famous 50 devotees right yeah we were the second wave and from every temple devotees were chosen we were just chosen we went we took a one-way ticket because prabhupada told us to go but he didn’t tell us to go back and you didn’t need a return ticket apparently how long did you stay in india yeah 47 years ago how did you stay alive my lord it was tough in those days wasn’t it yeah yeah we’re all very sick um the deities were also in a tent when we arrived in juhu all the devotees were sick and uh yeah our drinking water was in a clay pot and you would take off the top and all these bugs would fly out and we were just it took about three or four days before we you got sick but we were we we wanted to serve provopod and please him and so we stayed now my understanding is that you did book distribution in saint caretown many years how long that was also for seven years seven years I was pujari in kolkata then seven years I went to bombay and I was traveling and we were the first party the women’s party was the first traveling party in india and uh the people were so uh excited to see us and we couldn’t sell we couldn’t carry enough books to sell wonderful eventually you started to get uh uh into a very studied mode and you started to work with the the what is it the vrndavan industry iiihi yes and how long did you serve there I served there and I’m still serving um from afar since 1994. no 1997 97 yes from 1997. yeah wonderful yeah well thank you for that uh we’re talking about lord caitanya and uh how one well are you talking about any any topic that you wish but the general notion is you must approach gorny tai to be able to approach uh radha krishna so please uh you know enlighten us what gorni tai and approaching them and and how do gornitai uh enlighten us from within uh so that uh we can make progress tell us about that yeah well the first thing we need to understand is from chaitanya time we took we should tells us the whole process right from the beginning the second verse but he explains it later on in in the first chapter of adilyla one day krishna nityananda I offer my speculative obeisances to she christian caitanya and nithyananda prabhu who are like the sun and moon who have arisen simultaneously on the horizon of goda and does wonderfully the stove and addiction upon all and so we see the sun and moon krishna does cover us as outside and they only the sun and moon can only show us external things like pots and plates but when the son of gornita rise they come in our heart and they destroy the darkness of ignorance and they show us they reveal to us the two bhagavatas the person and the book and then when we get the approach when we get the association of the bhagavatas we get bhakti in our heart and then we give bhakti one more thing happens we control krishna and so this is what happens this is how to approach corny tai with a prayerful mood very important to read on your church tell me because then you’ll get evidence the scientific process how it’s working and they give us spiritual strength also they give us spiritual strength so this uh spiritual strength uh tell us tell us about spiritual strength how do gor uh how do garnitai give us this spiritual strength so first we have to understand that there’s two kinds of strength there’s material strength and there’s spiritual strength so material strength um there’s sanskrit words daiva and purifa means spiritual strength we we get the power from the transcendence and the material strength we get it from our senses from our activities from the modes of nature and so if we depend on the mercy of the lord we can get spiritual strength now that’s explained in srimad-bhagavatam and there are sanskrit words so means a sword of knowledge krishna gives us a sword of knowledge and where do we get the strength from to hold the sword that is bala ganasim is the sword of knowledge krishna he gives it to us and bala balarama gives us the strength and who is balarama it’s gives us the spiritual strength and if we take shelter of nitai then we can progress into spiritual life then we can have the strength when times get difficult we can pray to lord nichiananda we can read on each other um and we can’t get the life without the mercy of of balaram nityananda yeah and so Srila Prabhupada he’s in fact one devotee I’m not sure I think it might have been I think it might have been rather nath mirage mentioned that Srila Prabhupadaa is like the creeper manifestation of lord nityananda and so tell us about the relationship between Srila Prabhupadaa and nithyananda well it does say in in bhagavatam acharya he is perfect and he is krishna and we should not disrespect him should not envy him and and prabhupada explains a little bit later that uh uh shiraba actually he quotes bhaktivinoda takara in other vaishnavas that the spiritual master is always considered either one of confidential associates of srimati radharani or a manifested representation of yananda so how did prabhupada connect us to gornitai um this is a very wonderful question this is this is this is we have to know this because we’re all followers of shita probably thank you for asking that question and so first of all we need to know how the panchatapha connects us to krishna so when krishna came to this planet and it’s this is described again in in chaitanya everything is there you just have to read the books so but I’m telling you in case you forgot um that the pancha tatwa they came and krishna first came he brought the treasure house of love of god and but it was sealed so when lord caitanya came with nityananda and the panchatatva they broke open the seal and plundered the storehouse and ate the contents and distributed and the more they tasted it the more the thirst for the grew so that’s the connection between gonita and and uh krishna and love of krishna and how did they how did they spread it they were dancing they were chanting and crying and laughing and that’s how they distributed so 500 years ago this happened and india was completely submerged in love of godhead but then 500 years later um the treasure of krishna prema was still sealed it was for the rest of the western world and even for modern-day india they couldn’t taste it so prabhupada this is our connection he took the treasure he opened it and he he tasted it and he chanted and danced and he gave it to everyone regardless of birth of qualification so one on a morning walk one devotee said it seems lord caitanya preached in india but he left the rest of the world for you and prabhupad said and for you uh this this this is how and this was the moon of a deuter acharya also when he was asked for a benediction my lord caitanya lord caitanya said well I came here just for you to and I will distribute the chanting of the holy name to everyone and so a deuter said when you distribute love of god give it to the women also to the shujas and all fallen and ignorant persons let everyone else the chandalas dance in ecstasy well chanting the holy name and so lord chaitanya said yes all that you have desired is going to happen it’s very good and we can see this is the the blessing of uh lord caitanya is given to us by prabhupada when a deuter what he desired 500 years ago prabhupada is fulfilling now uh as garnitai chanted and danced in india so prabhupad sent us to the streets of of uh I joined boston and new york everywhere we were chanting and and that was our only service when we first joined the movement ten hours harinama that’s was our service and also I I knew how to type so I was uh composing they called it composing now they call it type setting I was type setting bhagavad-gita as it is so let’s do the and the small murdanga and in these two ways sheena prabhupad um took the treasure of a love of guy which which gorni tai opened up which krishna brought and he gave it to us let’s just spend another minute on this one thing the the the the morning walk or the little discussion that you just portrayed where one devotee says to shula prabhupada lord nityananda you’re the manifestation and then he says you can say that again say that story again um exactly like this um they were praising shira prabhupada they said well it looks like lord caitanya he distributed love of godhead all over india but he left the rest of the world to you to distribute love of god and Srila Prabhupadaa said what and he said and to you so this is what does that mean for us then that means we have we have to carry this on well yeah we’ve had the order is there from lord caitanya in shaytan he said I want all the branches of my tree he has a a tree of love of godhead that he planted in this world I want all the branches to take my order and spread this all over to everyone and again prabhupad also quotes always you whoever you meet tell them about krishna so he explained that he motivated us right since the very beginning since we joined that this was our duty now we got it and we got the love those who are born in india you got it now now make you made your life perfect now help others now I just want to get off the main topic that we’re talking about for a moment in in when we joined we left everything behind we had no careers we had nothing we kept no footing in the material world that’s true and we were cent percent working directly under Srila Prabhupada’s guidance right today’s largely largely our congregations are initiated disciples even they hold a job they’re raising a family what’s the challenge there that you see and but nonetheless their order is the same as those devotees that originally joined is it not yeah the order is the same and and the consciousness is the same and uh the relationship is the same but um I would say that now we had that direct relationship with sriracha he was there he was pushing us and they also the the devotees now need to make their relationship we should have had as because he’s a shikshi guru they need to read his books they need to read chittani chaitanya so then they’re aware oh yeah there is an order for me here they need to hear prophet’s tapes and how he was so urgent and how he was begging how he was pleading us to do it and and they need to take the mood of their spiritual master also and and how their spiritual master is serving should have helped take up that move because then they can help uh be servant of the servant um uh prabhupada is always emphasizing servant of the servant this is who we are this is our constitutional position so yeah excellent um let’s shift back then to understanding lord caitanya’s mood and how how does that uh help us understand radha and krishna so first of all what was lord chitanya’s mood it was a mood of separation he was always feeling separation and that’s why he came that’s I mean one of the reasons it’s not it’s not all the reasons he came there’s many reasons but he wanted to show us that prophet says this in a pro board of caitanya church that cultivation of love for krishna in separation is the easiest way of success can you believe it of course we’re already separated so it shouldn’t hard we’re very separated from krishna um so we might not have any other alternative than worship in the wood mode of separation as we are separated but um to understand lord caitanya we have to again meet caitanya termite and her his mood was the same mood that radharani felt when she met udava in vrndavan when krishna left and then he sent urva and she was feeling separation so the explanation of of this mood is given by lord caitanya in caitanya church he said I found krishna lord of vindavan but I’ve lost him again who has taken my grisham where have I come so that was his mood first lord caitanya felt he was invindavan with krishna and then he went to kurukshetra to see jagannath balarama subhaja and then he experienced devyon mad divyan mod sorry divine madness so material madness means we’re mad for material things but spiritual madness means we’re mad for for krishna for serving krishna for love of krishna so in krishna was in kurukshetra he was showing his opulence but in vrandavan in his original place he was showing his his original nature intimate nature and some devotees they like to see krishnan opulence in dwarka and vaikunta and kukshetra and but lord caitanya showed us that we can cultivate the mood how can we cultivate this mood of radharani and the gopis in separation they don’t like to see uh krishna anywhere but verndavan and prabhupad said that in one of the last purports of bhagavad-gita 1866 a famous purport that um yes uh how to see krishna in vrndavana that and the purport he said there are so many forms of krishna but we should want to see the two form krishna and so prophet said that lord caitanya showed us the practical example how to cultivate the mood of separation from krishna um historically Srila Prabhupada did a couple of interesting things in the very early days uh I think the krishna book was published in either 1971 or 72. um very soon he gave us uh tulsi davie and we were still are walking around circumambulating and praying to chelsea please make me a maidservant of the gopis of vendavan and the krishna book is telling us all of the pastimes of krishna actually I think at that time I’m not sure if he was translating the third canto he brought the two first two cantos and then he did krishna book very early on um so it’s pretty clear that he’s sending us directly there to understand the krishna in vrndavan yes yes yes he’s pointing us in that direction and so is lord chitanya he’s in the mood of lord caitanya nityananda and it might be difficult for us you know I can tell you when krishna book came out it was 1970. I got a copy I joined in 1970 it was just after I joined the temple maybe it was in oh like in july or august of 70. and it came out and I was keeping it in my bed every night um for protection and because I liked it but uh yeah it it was out um in 70 and we really really uh appreciated it it was like something we never heard before it was so wonderful it was amazing uh how could you you know here’s what god is doing well I thought wow this and I was just a new new person you know maybe I four or five months I was associating with devotees but I got krishna book I said oh this is this is the most wonderful thing I ever heard of that you can have god as your child you can have god as your friend you can have god as your as your lover as your yeah as your husband and so we’re all looking for the perfect relationship and and krishna book shows us so so going back to lord caitanya how does he express his feelings of ecstasy of radharani and the gopis maybe dig a little deeper into into that topic okay before I do that I would like to just mention that these are very esoteric topics and we are simple devotees so how can we understand these elevating feelings of lord caitanya uh so this is so this is also for those who are listening now um here is uh what um prabhupad says in the proportion of caitanya tommy talk um krishnadas khabirosh has tried to explain the madness of lord caitanya as far as possible it’s our duty simply to appreciate it as far as possible so the author has made the following request my dear readers simply try to hear this description with faith and love you may not understand it now but just have faith in love and that will help you understand this ecstasy so we can read caitanya churchill to pray to prayer but now I’ll also be talking about these things so um just try to hear with faith and love so how did he express the feelings of ecstasy radharani and the gopis first of all it’s the mood of longing longing when he was dancing in rajyatha he was feeling the emotions of the gopis when krishna left vrndavan with akura and how did he express it krishna where have you gone and then he said three names of christians which are very very significant to understand the feelings of the gopis these three names are hello govinda oh damodar o madhava so why are they significant because when krishna was leaving vrndavan the gopis were trying to stop the chariot and krishna started leaving and they said you know how can we exist without you you we would see you every night coming home and playing your flute and you would captivate our minds with your side long glances and then the last words they said were govinda dhammadar omaduba is repeating these but they have a deep significance whatever lord caitanya says he’s just repeating and and he’s repeating exact same names because he’s feeding the exact emotions but if we just read it in um krishna book or study in krishna book it’s in the translation by the um our our god brothers sri lanka and goku prana donna you won’t get it okay govindamaru okay but what does it mean and lord chitan explains it what does this mean and that’s what we have to reach it on we have to understand and he’s teaching us this method of of v prolumba this method of separation could we just go back to a single word that you said uh longing longing and uh is that similar to yearning similar kind of yes longing yearning that is yes it can mean many things longing longing is is to meet krishna again now we’re separated we want to meet krishna we want to meet krishna again um says you know we left and now we want to go back to godhead and so um in order to do that we have to develop a desire everything is based on desire everything is based on desire and so we need to um make our desire strong to have krishna more than other things and uh to learn this is also from it’s in our line it’s lochitanya they are teaching us you read nectar of devotion and you hear you hear their songs they were in gohardan they were living in vendava and they were saying where are you krishna where where is where are you radharani not just krishna and where where are the gopis and so you should have probably recommended that we studied the books of the six goswami’s especially rupa goswami he’s given us nectar of instruction nectar of devotion and uh then we can understand better is this feeling of longing this this this yearning is this something that we are to cultivate uh shira prabhupada has said yes we can cultivate this and the way to cultivate it is by praying the prayers we can sing the prayers about you know talk or naruto does talker read on your chair tomita um but also and even in bhagavad-gita he tells us that we can do this in the 12th chapter if you if you follow the regular principles of devotional service chanting and hearing and chant 16 rounds follow the regular principles krishna says if you engage in this practice of bhakti yoga you will develop a desire to attain me so prabhupad has given us the message he’s given us the means then to get prior now this now we’re doing abi deya this is uh the practice there’s some mandarin someone does relationship we make a little relationship and now we develop it by serving krishna by doing devotional service and then we get the the goal or so so we all spend at least a couple of hours a day chanting our japa and is it is it acceptable to chant our japa in that mood of longing for krishna yes yes um yeah in one sense isn’t it like almost like a prayer please please engage me in your service exactly that’s the mood that prabhupada encourages us to to pray in please engage me in your service if you hear his lectures prabhupad says often that uh we should pray like this um the fifth prayer of shikhshastaka I’m I’m you know somehow I’m falling in this material world please pick me up and engage me and you’re as an atom of dust at your lotus feet and if you study prabhupad’s first lecture when he came to the west on the holy name he explained there’s there’s three words hari krishna and rama and uh we first pray to hare our mother and she picks us up and she gives us to krishna that if by radharani’s mercy we get the mercy of krishna on the same way by lord caitanya’s mercy we get the mercy of radha and krishna because he’s the mercy incarnation and of course by paul pogba’s mercy we get the mercy of lord caitanya that he is the mercy incarnation coming down succession so uh going back to caitanya mahaprabhu did he have like any different moods when he went to dragon of poori was there some difference to what he was doing prior to going to juggernaut cory um well prior to going to jagannath puri he was simply chanting and dancing and distributing but when he went to jagannath curry he was more internal and his own personal feelings were coming although as as I I already showed it when he was um chanting and dancing in rathayacha um he was also very internal he was as I said he he was remembering the gopis and how krishna took uh went away from vrndavan while he was dancing in raziatra yeah of course this is in jagannatha’s curry there’s two sections so um but yeah in navajo he was more in the yuga dharma distribution but when he went to jagannatha he was very much in the mood of separation and especially in rafael and we improper made the comparison that krishna used to perform rasulillah and other pence times in vrndavan and lord caitanya performed uh very uncommon the same pastimes just like krishna expanded himself into so many gopis uh and expanded to himself and dorica so lord chaitanya expanded himself in different parties in the rathacha and uh so he was dancing in each and every group and uh so then he was he was showing different things and some devotees could see even the king maharaja rudor could see how he was doing that because lord caitanya was pleased with his service of sweeping in front of the roth card so there is uh also an underlying mood of rothyatra um uh so I would like to tell you how the lord chitanya expressed that mood the gopis again they were meeting at kirkshetra they’re expressing their mood how they wish christians to go back to vrndavan and this is the underlying mood the lord chitanya’s feelings of separation so the gopis they wanted to bring krishna back to vindavan and so rathayata is that celebration and now there’s a very another significant verse I told you some things already that lord caitanya said there’s another verse which lord caitanya quoted from shema which is from the gopis in kanto 10 chapter 82 when they met kurukshetra they they said to krishna your lotus feet are the only shelter for those who have fallen to deep well of material existence your feet are worshipped and meditated upon by great mystic yogis we wish these lotus feet may also be awakened in our hearts so what does this mean to awaken preachers lotus feet in our heart so lord caitanya says for most people the mind and heart are one but because my mind is vrindavan I consider my mind and vrndavan to be one and so this is his mood this was his mood he’s in vrndavan when he’s in poori he’s in vendavan he said my mind is already van damme so since you’re vrindavan please come and place your lotus feet there so this is what it mean he’s explaining what what it means when the gopis sent uh met uh krishna at kukshetra and and rathyata is trying to bring krishna back to vrndavan and lord caitanya is showing that he’s in in the mood of the gopis bringing krishna back to vrindavan so just a little bit more on rathyatra bringing krishna back to vrndavan just tell us just a little bit more of that we’re we’re going to get into rothyatra’s season again yeah and uh hopefully uh the covet is subsiding enough to actually have festivals I don’t know if we will not yes but even if we don’t we’re going to be at least internally celebrating it so just give us a little bit more of this mood of rafatra well be when you’re not in rathayatra it’s like you’re in separation from krishna but when you when you join rathayata then you’re meeting krishna you’re meeting jagannath he is krishna you’re meeting krishna so lord caitanya in rasayata he was meeting krishna now he was in the mood of meeting while he was but that meeting was changed with separation so even though now we’re meeting you but you’re going to we won’t see you again I mean now you’re here but in the future we won’t see you so therefore it’s a festival of love okay we’re meeting you but but don’t leave us come be with us we’re pulling the chariot to keep him with us applying to chariot so he’ll come and stay in our heart actually so so the gopis even when they’re with krishna they’re still suffering with the idea that maybe he’s going to be leaving soon yeah yeah exactly exactly so that’s how lord caitanya was he was he was he was happy to see juggernauts in raciatus and he was feeling wow now we met in kurukshetra but it was kuga it’s juggernauts and you know he’s dressed up in in all the armor and everything and he’s not like the bin david mood so we say no we want to see you in the vendava moot is playing the flute juggernaut doesn’t play so how this is all very elevated uh and then there’s uh some fallen devotees of which I’m one of them uh how how do we uh keep krishna in this how do we develop this mood and stay in this mood when you’re you know at the level of devotion that I’m at well that’s a really wonderful question and prabhupada has answered that in in chitta chattanooga right in these uh reports of rashiatra um he he prophet has advised us to engage in deity worship in the temple he says and here’s what he says I’ll quote a devotee constantly engaged in deity worship according to the rules and regulations laid down in the shastra and given by the spiritual master realizes gradually he is in direct contact with the supreme personality of godhead I was in pujari for seven years and I can tell you that you get very close to the deity when you when you worship them you I used to do dd watch I used to do puja 20 hours a day and sleep four hours for five years because there was no no help then not much help so I used to do dd watch and I was also the chokie I had to protect the dd’s because we didn’t have a jokey door and there was no window in front of them either no protection no no gate and so I would sit there and I would chant to them and I would chant budgeons and I would look at their faces and I would see the expressions changing moment to moment gargamuni used to take pictures of the deities for life members and he said hey I just took that picture one minute ago and it’s different I said yes it changes uh so you can you can have that direct relationship and when I left calcutta I was feeling separation when I went to bombay so prabhupada again and when he was in vrndavan they needed pujari so he said the highest service a human being can perform is to be a pujari because although the pujari has a material body the bajari serves the supreme personality of godhead the gujarat wakes the lord up bathes dresses and feeds him and these are activities of the spiritual world but the pujari does them in this world so this is the perfection of human life a pujari is extained his constitutional position he’s liberated so I’d like to also give you some prayers even today in worshiping the deities um lord caitanya when he was dancing around the altar he said these prayers well here’s the first see if you know it and here’s another prayer which we used to say in calcutta before waking up the deities in the morning early in the morning devaki jamavado this is in the last chapter of tentacanto and the translation is lord krishna known as jananivas is the ultimate resort of all living entities and he’s known as the son of devaki shoda and with his mighty arms he kills everything inauspicious and by his presence he destroys all things inauspicious for everyone his missile smiling face increases the lusty desires of the gopis of vendavan may he be all glorious and happy now what’s the significance of this verse he gave it to us to chant but there’s another very deep deep significance to this verse if you if you study the now the 10th canto chapter 78 after krishna kills dhantavakra he goes to vrindavan now according to our chariots and according to bhagavatam first came to also there is a verse where when krishna is going into dwaraka and the with the work of asia said you know when you go to vindava and we miss you you know when did he go to vendavan and the acharya say he went a few times and this was the last time he went to van daven and that’s described in the purple of our book that we have now 1078 and the devotees hadn’t seen him for so long what was the first thing they said to him it was this prayer jayati giannini vaso devaki john malvado so it they all have very deep deep significance we reach it in the church that we can really uh get a very deep understanding of the mood of of radha and krishna because lord caitanya is is showing us so we’re getting a little bit close to the end of our time uh how how did he give us instructions of this mood of separation just cap us on some of this okay and krishna book in chapter 35 is describing how uh during the day christian would go to the forest with his cows and boyfriends the gopis didn’t go so they were already even there in goloka with krishna they’re feeling separation during the day and but their hearts went with him and because their hearts went with him they could enjoy his company through strong feelings of separation and prophet has advised us also to go and see the deities in the morning and keep our hearts there and during the day remember how they looked how they were dressed different things um and so uh also the we we read the books negative devotion negative instruction they they uh always said I never I I didn’t see krishna where’s krishna I lived in vrndavan now for 27 years and there’s so many groups that are saying yes we are seeing krishna all the time we’re getting we’re seeing christian all the time yeah he’s dancing with me I’m giving him food probably said no where’s krishna where’s krishna uh we are not on that high level that we can dance with krishna and do all these things so many groups uh sahajas and also other gaudiya guardian math groups they do this kind of babajis do this practice um but we have to follow prabhupad and he um in a letter he explained how to do this here’s somebody he wrote a letter I am happy to know you are feeling blissful in our krishna conscious movement we should follow in the footsteps of lord caitanya and the six gosamis of vrindavan they were always serving krishna in the mood of separation they never said now I’ve seen krishna or last night I danced with krishna no they were crying where is krishna and they were always searching after him wondering when they would finally be able to see him we should also desire intensely to see and be with krishna but first thing is to become purified to devotional service it is not possible otherwise so keep on helping me spread this krishna conscious movement following the rules and regulations very carefully and your life will be perfect and you will see krishna and that’s why I joined I asked me when the first day I went to the temple I said they said I said what’s the process they said you chant you dance you eat I said okay if I chant dance to eat what will happen what can I expect they said he will see god I said yes I want to see god I want to see krishna um and so then again in a purported force canto he said if a disciple he tells us how to do this is very serious to execute the mission of the spiritual master he immediately associates with the supreme personality of godhead by vani or so if we want to see krishna we have to do the mission of prabhupada the mission of lord caitanya and again he says instead of being eager to see the lord in some bush of vendavan while at the same time engaging in sense gratification if one instead sticks to the principle of following the words of the spiritual master he will see supreme lord without difficulty so this has all been very wonderful um one last point that we would like to hear from you uh we actually have some uh evidence if you would that there’s a fair amount of devotees that have not really read chaitanya turned and so what what can you say to our audience to encourage them to in fact many devotees don’t actually even have the full set of charitamrita in their in their home uh what can you say to them to encourage them to read especially during this period of time where we are attempting to celebrate sri chaitanya chara narita well um if you’re actually a devotee following the process of devotional service and you want to achieve the goal if you want love of godhead if you want to taste it then the taste is in caitanya church it’s it’s open there it’s free it’s mercy mercy flowing that’s the difference between vandavan and maya when brendan is very intense and very strict and mayapur is very merciful so that’s also lord chaitanya he’s the mercy incarnation krsna’s krishna said you have to surrender first and then I’ll protect you but lord caitanya doesn’t look who surrender who’s not he just gives freely and so if you go into caitanya tamita then you’ll access that mercy of lord caitanya um okay well thank you so much it’s been so wonderful listening to you I uh I I actually have a great uh opportunity in my life uh right now I’ve been interviewing devotees such as you uh specifically on these topics of caitanya mahaprabhu and his mood of separation and his approaching lord
