\n I approached a couple in downtown Denver and offered them books.<\/p>\n

\n Immediately the man said, “Not interested \u2014 we’re atheists.”<\/p>\n

\n I responded, “You know, with all of the advancement in science, none of the scientists have a clue what consciousness is. They speculate about it, and that’s it. There is no agreement among them what consciousness is.<\/p>\n

\n “But Socrates had a clear understanding of consciousness: it’s the soul within the body. And these books also give a clear understanding of consciousness, which, by the way, is who we are. We’re not material. We’re anti-material. That’s why it’s so hard for the scientists to understand consciousness. They know only about mater, and even their knowledge of that is limited.”<\/p>\n

\n They immediately gave a nice donation and took two books.<\/p>\n
