UPON hearing counsel the Court made the following I.A.20 of 2011, has been filed on behalf of<\/p>\n the respondents, inter alia, for vacating the<\/p>\n interim orders passed by this Court on 6th June,<\/p>\n 2011 and 5th July, 2011.<\/p>\n 2. The dispute is between two societies having<\/p>\n identical names and claiming to be the owners and<\/p>\n in management of the temple of the International<\/p>\n Society for Krishna Consciousness, Bangalore.<\/p>\n 3. By the order dated 6th June, 2011, this<\/p>\n Court while issuing notice and after hearing<\/p>\n learned counsel for both the parties, gave certain<\/p>\n interim directions and one of the directions we are<\/p>\n concerned with reads as follows:-<\/p>\n “…..5. In the 4. The present I.A.20 has been filed for<\/p>\n vacation of the said directions.<\/p>\n 5. By virtue of the aforesaid order, the<\/p>\n petitioner-society has been running the affairs of<\/p>\n the temple at Bangalore till date. However, since<\/p>\n a decree has been passed in favour of the<\/p>\n respondent-society, wherein directions have been<\/p>\n given to the petitioners not to interfere with the<\/p>\n possession of the respondent society in the temple<\/p>\n and its properties, we are of the view that some<\/p>\n arrangement has to be made till we can hear out the<\/p>\n Special Leave Petition, for the temple at Bangalore<\/p>\n to be managed in a manner so that there is some<\/p>\n amount of transparency.<\/p>\n 6. Having heard Mr. Venugopal, learned senior<\/p>\n counsel for the applicant in I.A.20, and Mr. Lalit,<\/p>\n learned senior counsel appearing for the<\/p>\n petitioner-society in the Special Leave Petition,<\/p>\n we direct that the Special Leave Petition, which we<\/p>\n are informed is otherwise ready for hearing, be<\/p>\n listed for final hearing on 15th February, 2012, at<\/p>\n the top of the list.<\/p>\n 7. In the meantime, in addition to the interim<\/p>\n directions, which had been given in the order of<\/p>\n 6th June, 2011, we appoint a Committee to oversee<\/p>\n the management of the temple and its properties. The said Committee shall consist of:-<\/p>\n 1. Hon’ble Mr. Justice R.V. Raveendaran(retd.) as<\/p>\n Chairman.<\/p>\n 2. Shri Ananda Thirtha Das, Member.<\/p>\n 3. Shri Stoka Krishna Das, Member.<\/p>\n The said Committee shall oversee the management of<\/p>\n the temple and its properties by the petitioner-<\/p>\n society and shall be entitled to advise the said<\/p>\n society on matters relating to the management of<\/p>\n the temple and its properties.<\/p>\n 8. The Chairman shall be paid a remuneration of<\/p>\n ` One Lakh per month from the temple funds.<\/p>\n 9. This order is without prejudice to the<\/p>\n rights and contentions of the parties at the time<\/p>\n of hearing of the Special Leave Petition.<\/p>\n 10. The Committee will be at liberty to apply to<\/p>\n this Court in the event it becomes necessary to do<\/p>\n so.<\/p>\n 11.
