Vrindavan, the home of Lord Krishna, had a late monsoon and an early Kartika. Torrential rains came down making it difficult to get on the road.
\nAs soon as the rain eased up we headed off through Mathura on to Madhavan,
\nthe first of the twelve principal forests of Vraj.<\/p>\n

Krishna appears here is all the four yugas.
\nIn Satya-yuga, He appeared before Dhruva Maharaja. In Treta-yuga He came as
\nSatrughna and killed the demon Lavanasura. He came as Lord Krishna in
\nDwapara-yuga and as Lord Caitanya in Kali-yuga<\/p>\n

Bullock carts are the real Rolls Royce of Vraj, the number 1 form of
\ntransport for Lord Krishna and his devotees. Srila Prabhupada once said
\nthat the bulls that pull the cart for Gaura Nitai will go directly back to
\nGodhead.<\/p>\n

So we took off on the Harinam of a lifetime.<\/p>\n

“Here I am now sitting in New York, the world\u2019s greatest city, but my heart
\nis always hankering after that Vrindavan. I shall be very happy to return
\nto my Vrindavan, that sacred place.\u201d [Srila Prabhupada]\n
