{"id":10388,"date":"2024-04-15T11:03:38","date_gmt":"2024-04-15T09:03:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dandavats.com\/?p=10388"},"modified":"2024-04-15T11:03:31","modified_gmt":"2024-04-15T09:03:31","slug":"lord-ramacandra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dandavats.com\/?p=10388","title":{"rendered":"Lord Ramacandra"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/mxHpTUJ.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Gautam Saha: The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Ramachandra<br \/>\nAppeared on this earth in the lineage of Raghukula, in Ayodhya<br \/>\nAs the son of King Dasharath and Queen Kaushalya<br \/>\nElder to the princes Bharat, Lakshmana and Shatrughna  <\/p>\n<p>He is ever seen in the company of Mahalaksmi as Sita<br \/>\nHis eternal servitor Hanuman, and loving brother Lakshmana<br \/>\nBoth brothers wielded a bow and arrows and other weapons<br \/>\nAs shatriyas, it was their bounden duty to protect their citizens<\/p>\n<p>Lord Ram is maryada purushottam, the most perfect among human beings<br \/>\nIn which role He traversed the earth and engaged with all earthly beings<br \/>\nCompassionate to the weak, kind to the poor, helpful to those in penury<br \/>\nA nemesis for all demons and miscreants, whom He dispatched vigorously   <\/p>\n<p>Out of His great sense of duty, He agreed to spend fourteen years in deportation<br \/>\nDeep in the forest, with Lakshmana and Sita, living in desolate deprivation<br \/>\nThey lived on fruits and roots, far away from the luxuries and opulence of the city<br \/>\nThey chose the life of hermits, and underwent much hardship and poverty   <\/p>\n<p>Towards the end of their banvaas, the demon Ravana took a fancy for mother Sita<br \/>\nBy various devious means and subterfuge, he managed to kidnap mother Sita<br \/>\nAnd imprisoned her in Lanka, where she refused to submit to the demonic desires of Ravana<br \/>\nEventually Hanumanji found mother Sita, and the Lord led His army towards Lanka   <\/p>\n<p>Being a demon, Ravana had not listened to the saintly counsel of brother Vibheeshan<br \/>\nHe mounted a counterattack on the army of Lord Ram, but all his efforts were in vain<br \/>\nAfter a lengthy battle, in which numerous warriors on both sides gave up their life<br \/>\nThe Supreme Personality of Godhead, Ram, snuffed out Ravana\u2019s life and rescued His wife <\/p>\n<p>The Lord\u2019s banvaas was at an end, and Ayodhya was His for the asking<br \/>\nHe ruled Ayodhya for many years, as a wise, much loved and magnanimous king<br \/>\nTo assuage His subjects, He sent mother Sita into exile, and They lived Their lives apart<br \/>\nThe Lord never forgot her, and till the end, mother Sita lived on in His heart      <\/p>\n<p>Mother Sita had given birth to twin valiant sons, Luv and Kush, who grew up in a hermitage<br \/>\nThey ultimately found their great father and were reunited under His love and parentage<br \/>\nThe Lord lived a life of service to others, with great humility and sense of duty<br \/>\nHis life is an example for all, in Its sacrifice and values which reinforce His great divinity<\/p>\n<p>His great affection for the poor old woman Shabri is a glowing example of love\u2019s expression<br \/>\nEven though of lowly birth, Lord Ram accorded to her the highest platform of pure devotion<br \/>\nLord Ram, Who is no different from Krishna, thus enacted His transcendental leela on this earth<br \/>\nRamachandra, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, reigns supreme in every devotee\u2019s heart !
