\n\t\t\tSri Lakshmi Narasimha had very mercifully and miraculously given shelter to cows and devotees by rejecting the plan of the government of building an abattoir (mechanized slaughter house) on a vacant land in East Bangalore. For the pleasure of Srila Prabhupada and with the help of local leaders and people, devotees started the worship of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha in a temporary structure with sincere aspirations of soon building one of the finest temples for the Lord and dedicating it to Srila Prabhupada’s mission. The Lord has very patiently waited and now we are most excited to announce the completion of one of the largest temples dedicated to Lord Narasimha in Bangalore. This temple will also be the abode of Nava Narasimha (Ahobilam’s traditionally worshipped nine forms of Lord Narasimha). The temple occupies special place in the heart of Bangalore devotees since almost each of them were directly or indirectly involved with the building of the temple. By directly we mean many devotees, starting with children as young as five, have helped in carrying mud, bricks and stone to build this magnificent temple.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBut the good news is not over yet. The completion of the Nava Narasimha temple is only the phase 1 of the entire temple project. We have another phase involving the construction of a temple for Gandharvika Giridhari deities also, which we hope to complete by Sri Krishna Janmashtami 2012.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tFor now, the inauguration of the temple has been spread across an 11 day festival starting from April 24th<\/sup>, Akshaya Tritiya up to May 5th<\/sup>, Sri Narasimha Jayanti. We will have the events like Netraunmilana, Narasimha Homa, Prana Pratishtha and Maha Abhisheka during the first part of the celebration on 27th, 28th<\/sup> and 29th<\/sup>. On 4th, <\/sup>5th<\/sup> (Sri Narasimha Chaturdashi) and 6th<\/sup> of May we will have the formal inaugural, a grand celebration, open to the general public.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe celebration will indeed be a feast to the devotees since they will have the supreme- most fortune of having the darshan of senior most disciples and grand disciples of Srila Prabhupada. HH Jaypataka Swami Maharaja, HH Bhakti Vikas Maharaja, HH Bhanu Swami Maharaja, HG Shyamasundar Prabhu, HH Bhakti Vinod Maharaja, HH Bhakti Rasamrit Maharaja, HG Dayaram Das, HG Shankardhari Das, HG Revati Raman Das and HG Radheshyam Das have all kindly agreed to be present for this most auspicious occasion<\/strong>. There will be extensive Hari Katha, Hari naam and Hari Prasad! Worldwide devotees are all invited to this grand inauguration of the Nava Narasimha temple in Bangalore.<\/p>\n
