My gurudeva is not gone and dead
\nHe lives in his words and whatever he said
\nKeeps me on course,
\nbecause he knows the source
\nOf all this creation
\nIt\u2019s his meditation
\nHow to save us now
\nFrom self- annihilation.<\/p>\n
My gurudeva is living with me,
\nHe\u2019s in my heart and shows me how to see.
\nHe\u2019s in my mind and tells me how to think,
\nIf I pay attention, then I won\u2019t sink,
\nInto the holes of mental misconception,
\nDriven by pride, illusion and deception.<\/p>\n
My gurudeva is eternally alive
\nI\u2019m following his footsteps to the Transcendental Five.
\nChant the Holy Name is what They say to do
\nFinish your business here, and when your through,
\nYour soul will be satisfied,
\nYour happiness multiplied,
\nYour ecstasy intensified,
\nBy the one who has been glorified.<\/p>\n
My gurudeva is not dead and gone
\nHis story, will continue on
\nBecause he\u2019s from a different plain
\nWhere there is not loss, but only gain.
\nHe knows the truth, I follow him
\nAnd I\u2019m not shaking on a feeble limb.
\nBut walking firm in his eternal step
\nWhere there\u2019s no grief or karmic debt.<\/p>\n
My gurudeva is by my side
\nIt\u2019s up to me to keep in stride.
\nTake up what he\u2019s given me
\nThere\u2019s nothing else will set me free.
\nAnd if I think my guru\u2019s left,
