On US Mount Rainier flows a majestic waterfall
\nDropping a steep 188 feet by a gorgeous rock wall
\nIt commemorates a celebrated eastern mystic
\nWho connects to the cosmos and all that’s holistic<\/p>\n
His name is Narada and he’s so novel
\nUnconventional in behaviour yet a real role model
\nAt times he may come across as eccentric
\nBut in reality he is most authentic<\/p>\n
He moves with heart subtly through all atmospheres
\nIn the heavens, middle, and lower regions he appears
\nCovering a spectrum like a rainbow’s colours
\nTo offer his benevolence like no other<\/p>\n
In his otherworldliness he’ll dispatch a message
\nIn a manner where there’s no time wastage
\nOnce he accepted a curse to be brief with his visit
\nMuch like some high-speed come-and-go bullet<\/p>\n
A straight shooter, honest, concise, to the point
\nBy some he’s received well, others are annoyed
\nFor the truth is not always easy to swallow
\nSo some reject him while others will follow<\/p>\n
He alerted the tyrannical king called Kams
\n“The enemy gods in space are making their advance”
\nAnd he told a prince, Prahlad, while in mother’s womb
\nThat life is not merely a place to consume<\/p>\n
His looks are appealing, poised like a staunch yogi
\nWith attire \u2013 a solid saffron \u2013 not fit for matrimony
\nHe bears a top knot increasing his height
\nAnd a stringed vina he plays adding to sound and sight<\/p>\n
Narada is a sage of extraordinary calibre
\nWho lives in peace, harmony, and is practically infallible
\nHe always sings a song of *mantra* power
