Institute of Science and Spirituality (ISS)- the Indian Knowledge Systems Centre of ISKCON Delhi, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), and Central Sanskrit University (CSU) Delhi are organizing a two-day international conference on \u201cPhilosophy of Vai\u1e63\u1e47ava Ved\u0101nta: Culture, Legacy and Traditions\u201d on 26th-27th of August 2023.<\/p>\n
Vai\u1e63\u1e47ava Ved\u0101nta is the largest Hindu philosophical school, known for its devotion to Vi\u1e63\u1e47u or K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a, and as such, was a key to the spread of the Bhakti movement in the Indian subcontinent.\u202f It has four main sub-schools and several sub-branches. The Vi\u015bi\u1e63\u1e6d\u0101dvaita school of R\u0101m\u0101nuja, the Dvaita school (Tattvav\u0101da) of Madhv\u0101c\u0101rya, the Dvait\u0101dvaita school of Nimb\u0101rk\u0101c\u0101rya, the Pu\u1e63tim\u0101rga of Vallabh\u0101c\u0101rya and Acintya-Bhed\u0101bheda philosophy of Caitanya Vai\u1e63nava Ved\u0101nta are some of the prominent ones. All these traditions of Vai\u1e63\u1e47ava Ved\u0101nta are still living Indian knowledge systems since very old times. The main texts in Vaishnava Veda\u0304nta include the Vedas, the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, the Pa\u0304ncara\u0304tra (A\u0304gama) texts, Na\u0304layira Divya Prabhandham, and the Bha\u0304gavata Pura\u0304n\u0323a. Various matters related to the literature, philosophy, history, practices in various samprad\u0101yas of Vais\u0323n\u0323ava Veda\u0304nta, and related subjects will be discussed at this conference.<\/p>\n
We expect more than 300 students, eminent scholars, and Acharyas from various Vaishnava sampradayas to participate in this two-day event. This is going to be a historic event on Vaishnava Vedanta and will be organized on the premises of JNU, one of the foremost Universities in India.<\/p>\n
