Yamuna Devi Dasi, disciple of Srila Prabhupada, well known as Govindam prayers that we hear and chant daily morning 7:15 at darsan arati, for her love of pure kirtan, for her ecstatic award winning cook books which were infused with spiritual anecdotes, for greatly inspiring and encouraging the younger generation of ISKCON devotees in their Krishna Consciousness. <\/p>\n

On 8th Jan 2013 ( Saphala Ekadasi) day this year was her first disappearance day. A special programme took place in Vrindavan Dham for making her Samadhi in ISKCON Vrindavan Goshala Area.<\/p>\n

Glorification of HG Yamuna Mataji started from 9.00 AM till 12.30 PM. First HH Radhanath Swami then HG Dina Tarini Mataji , HG Tameshwar Prabhu, HG Yaduvara Prabhu, HH Griraj Swami\u2019s Glorification read by HH Radhanath Swami, H.G Lilamrita Mataji (She is taking care of Yamuna mataji\u2019s Dieties named Sri Sri Radha Van Bihari). HG Harisauri Prabhu, HG Krishna Chandra Prabhu , HG Jananivas Prabhu (ISKCON Mayapur head Pujari), two Doctors from Mumbai Bhakti Vedanta Hospital who served Yamuna Mataji, Whole temple was decorated with fresh flowers.<\/p>\n

At 12.30 noon all devotees moved from Temple to ISKCON Vrindavan Goshala. More than 25 Prabhupada disciples attended the program. H.G Jananivas Prabhu was the priest on this occasion. HH Radha Nath Maharaj was leading the whole function, ashes were put in smadahi at ISKCON Vrindavan Goshala in golden pot, Abhishek of the Ashes with Panchya gavya took place. HG Dina Tarini Mataji led the aartik. Then HH Radhanath Swami and HG Dina Tarini mataji put the ashes pot in Samadhi. Then all devotees offered puspanjali. All Prabhupad disciples put some sand in Samadhi. For the whole program kirtan was lead by second generation ISKCON devotees (Manu, Jhanavi, Vani). Ekadasi feast was arranged at temple prasadam hall at 2.00 p.m. Again 5.00 pm to 8.300 pm Glorification continued by Prabhupada disciple and well wishers at Balram hall.<\/p>\n

On Dwadasi day , 9th jan 2013., Morning Bhagbatam class was given by HH Radhanath Swami on a verse which was selected by HG Dina Tarni mataji. HG Yamuna Mataji use to like that specific verse. At 10 am all devotees moved to Kesi Ghat. HG Jananivas Prabhu took a bamboo plate and filled it with Yamuna sand. Remaining ashes of Yamuna mataji was pored over it then again it was covered with Yamuna river sand. Everyone prayed Maglacharan on East direction. HH Radhanath Swami, HH Indradhumna Swami, HG Dina Tarini mataji and HG Jananivas prabhu took that ashes plate on a boat in the middle of Yamuna and all Prabhupada disciples were in another boat. Kirtan was continuing from kesi ghat. Then puspanjali and lightening for lamp took place by all present in Kesi Ghat. Everyone wrote their offerings and placed it with Puspanjali . Jananivas prabhu gave pinda daan in Yamuna water. A maha feast was arranged in Krishna Balram temple for all in honor of Yamuna Mataji. Again at Clock 5.00 p.m to 8 pm kirtan and glorification continued for Yamuna mataji. <\/p>\n
