It took only one day to drive to Northern Czech from London , and within two
\nhours hot meals and supplies were being shared out with the young volunteers who
\nhad travelled from afar to assist in the crisis.<\/p>\n
Torrential rains have gone, flooding waters have been receding and the sun was
\nshining again in the Czech town.<\/p>\n
After three days in safety upstairs, without power, running water or a cellphone
\nsignal, stranded people stepped down to face a scene of destruction.<\/p>\n
Shops are boarded up, roads blocked, no public transportation, scenes
\nreminiscent of apocalyptic movies.<\/p>\n

\nfuelled by record rains in northeast Czech Republic. Whole towns were flooded,
\nroads destroyed, vehicles swept away, animals drowned, teams of young
