The organization
focuses on three main areas: developing a model of consciousness based on the
Bhagavad Gita’s principles, investigating ancient Vedic literature and
philosophy, and educating the public on these ideas. The ISS also conducts
research on various topics, including flocking behavior in birds, non-visual
perception, meditative states, and the relationship between consciousness and
the physical world. The ISS emphasizes a hierarchical structure of
abstractions, where the mind is superior to the body, and it explores concepts
like semantic entanglement and non-local interaction to explain phenomena like
mind-matter interaction and consciousness. The ISS’s work has led to several
publications, conferences, and online courses that aim to bridge the gap
between scientific and spiritual knowledge systems.

Who Are We?

Institute for Science and Spirituality Trust (ISS) is the scientific study
wing of ISKCON Delhi.
