This festival which is a part of the post Gaurpurnima festival took place on the fourth of April this year (4\/4\/2013) and is the main attraction of the Vrindavan festivals.<\/p>\n<p>For photos please go to the link: <a href=\"https:\/\/plus.google.com\/photos\/110438247584390173216\/albums\/5863335596761627729?authkey=CMecga-1596UIQ\">https:\/\/plus.google.com\/photos\/110438247584390173216\/albums\/5863335596761627729?authkey=CMecga-1596UIQ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The inner courtyard of the Sri Sri Krishna Balaram temple was filled with water and a pool was created. The pool was then covered with a variety of flowers artfully decorated in various patterns and designs which also included decorative letters inscribing &#8216;HARE KRISHNA&#8217; and &#8216;RADHE SHYAM&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The temple deities were dressed in beautiful olive green coloured garments and various flowers making Them look gorgeous. The festival boat was an elegant peach coloured swan shaped boat decorated with violet flowers. The whole thing took about 3 hours and 7-8 devotees to set up.<\/p>\n<p>Devotees from more than thirty countries attended the program and a large crowd gathered including students from Gurukuls. They were amazed by the splendid decoration and Jubilant atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone was excited and in festive mood. The festival began with Hare Krishna Maha Mantra kirtan at 5:00 pm. Sri Sri Radhe Shyam, Lalita and Vishaka dressed in lovely pink garments were placed on the boat while the kirtan continued. Flowers, fruits, Delicious bhoga offering, incense and ghee lamps were offered to the deities while the boat was being tugged around the pool by devotees. Excited devotees seated around the courtyard pool, watched the progression with enthusiasm.<\/p>\n<p>To sweeten up the program, delicious Prasadam were distributed to all devotees which created thrills of joy among them. HH Gopal Krishna Swami presided the festivity and blessed all participants. HH Danvir Goswami, HH Prabodhananda Saraswati Swami, HG Deenabandhu Prabhu, HG Panchagauda Prabhu, HG Manu Prabhu, HG Bhuvaneshwar Prabhu, were among the dignitaries present. The kirtan was led by Panchagauda Das, Janardan Das and Bhakti Baibhava Swami, HG Ajamil Prabhu.<\/p>\n<p>Sri Sri Radhe Shyam, Lalita and Vishaka, took several rounds around the pool with devotees singing and dancing gleefully. This continued till 7:00 in the evening. The coordination and the hard work of temple devotees resulted in the success of the event leaving devotees and guests happy and contented.<\/p>\n<p>ISKCON Vrindavan Boat festival ki Jay!
