It is with great enthusiasm that we announce the re-opening and expansion of the school in New Talavan. In 2010 we wrote an article<\/a> under the name of Gurukula Project Team, which took us to Mississippi to discuss our ideas. Conversations stalled for some time, but by the grace of Guru and Gauranga, and for the pleasure of Srila Prabhupada, we will be able to open the school in August 2013.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Under the name of MathEcoSpirit Academy we have begun developing our curricular materials. The school will be a center of academic excellence as well as an oasis to nourish the spirit. We encourage devotees from across the world to join this beautiful farm community and spread the word. This is the perfect time to do so. Please, contact the Temple President, Yogindra Vandana Prabhu, about your plans to move here. The community has set aside about 200 acres for individual sale to serious devotees that promise to abide by certain rules. We particularly welcome families with young children, as well as volunteer teachers and laborers. Sri Sri Radha Radha-Kanta can always relish the service of dedicated pujaris, and the 1,200 acres of land and dozens of cows need caring hands to work and protect them.<\/p>\n

We are planning a fundraiser in August. If you think you can donate your art or other valuable assets, please contact us or the temple president. You may also donate generously to support this important project for the pleasure of Srila Prabhupada. He will be pleased to know that the farm he visited in 1974 is realizing self-sufficiency and sustainability in superlative ways. With his blessings, we will establish New Talavan as the center of learning for Vaisnavas in the West.<\/p>\n
