TRANSLATION
\nKardama Muni said: You, my dear Lord, who are always increasing the honor of Your devotees, have descended in my home just to fulfill Your word and disseminate the process of real knowledge.
\nPURPORT
\nWhen the Lord appeared before Kardama Muni after his mature yoga practice, He promised that He would become Kardama\u2019s son. He descended as the son of Kardama Muni in order to fulfill that promise. Another purpose of His appearance is cik\u012br\u1e63ur bhagav\u0101n j\u00f1\u0101nam, to distribute knowledge. Therefore, He is called bhakt\u0101n\u0101\u1e41 m\u0101na-vardhana\u1e25, \u201cHe who increases the honor of His devotees.\u201d By distributing S\u0101\u1e45khya He would increase the honor of the devotees; therefore, S\u0101\u1e45khya philosophy is not dry mental speculation. S\u0101\u1e45khya philosophy means devotional service. How could the honor of the devotees be increased unless S\u0101\u1e45khya were meant for devotional service? Devotees are not interested in speculative knowledge; therefore, the S\u0101\u1e45khya enunciated by Kapila Muni is meant to establish one firmly in devotional service. Real knowledge and real liberation is to surrender unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead and engage in devotional service.<\/p>\n
